ok hopefully on sportscenter we hear "and the bobcats upset the phoenix suns" tonight.

    Bobs +260

we all know they are a system play of which we should not speak, but when taking long ML shots i look for some reverse mojo. bobs have lost 7 of 8 on the road, have lost 2 in a row SU and basically laid an egg against the rockets the other night. i am betting on coach brown to come up with a winning strategy, and for short stretches i think the bobs can run with the suns with g. wallace going off. phoenix will have problems with even the most token defense and their constant whining to the refs is only second to my pistons.

Alright, here's what I got today.

The Rockets have played great basketball since the break and since they learned they will be without McGrady the rest of the way. They can finally focus at the task at hand and that is what they have been doing. The Rockets have quietly gone 22-6 at home this season (14-2 w/o McGrady). Aaron Brooks has given them better quickness and outside shooting from the point than Rafer had. The Blazers on the other hand have lost their last 3 road games, giving them a 12-15 road record for the year. Since the break, they have only played at home and beat 3 very poor road teams (Memphis, Atlanta, Clippers). Yao and Luis Scola have been on fire lately, and are both better in every statistical category at home (FG%, pts, reb, asts, blks, stls, ft%, you name it). No Oden for Portland will hurt, and these big men will lead Houston to a nice sized victory over the road challenged Blazers.

    Houston -4.5

Surprised more people aren't talking about Phoenix. Yeah, they couldn't hang with the Celtics. They are not a legitimate top team in this league. But they did put up 108 against the league's best defense, and have averaged 132.5 ppg since the coaching change. Charlotte plays good defense, but let's be real: they are the lowest scoring team in the NBA! They will not be able to keep up with the new look Phoenix's scoring pace. There is also revenge factor in this game as Charlotte wooped up on Phoenix by 22 in Charlotte back in January shortly after the J-rich/Diaw trade.

    Phoenix -7

Having watched most Rockets games since 1989, traditionally they play at the level of their competition and lose to teams they should easily beat and vice versa. But not this year. I'm impressed with how they're playing and I'm glad McGrady's gone (hopefully for good).

I'm on the Rockets tonight laying the 4.5.

Two more angles I like on this game. First, a minor one, but I like that in the first game they played against each other after the trade, Boris Diaw had a great game at home and Richardson struggled on the road. At that point in the season, the Bobcats were on their way up and the Suns on the way down. Which leads to tonight, where the Suns are on the upswing and Charlotte is kinda going through the motions. I see J-Rich playing inspired against his former team at home, now in a more comfortable style of offense.

The other angle is one regarding what I saw Tim Legler discuss after the Suns/Celtics game. He noted how the Suns will play kind of a sag-off defense, where they will give you some looks at the basket, hope you miss, and then run out in transistion and take advantage of you. However, teams like the C's are way too patient and will continue to work the ball to both sides of the court until they get the perfect shot. They passed up fairly open looks early in the shot clock and got wide open looks instead, by being patient and working their offense. The Bobcats, being the lowest scoring team in the league, will be suckered into taking these early open shots, even if they are not actually the look they wanted. The Suns will be able to run the floor effectively and run up the score. This angle is leading me towards the OVER as well.

can someone tell me how on earth the Bulls are gonna beat orlando ?

There is RLM in the Orlando/Chicago game so I'm a little skeptical about taking Orlando at -1.5 now. I might take another look at that one but I don't see how Chicago pulls out a victory. Orlando is the better team with or without Nelson and it's not like Miller, Noah, or anyone for that matter is going to stop Howard. They can only hope to contain him!

the only chance chicago has on winning is Rose... with no jameer he could give Orlando headaches.. imo

    Inter Milan vs Manchester United - Man U + 0 , + 0.5 @ 1.8 (-125)

I was going to go for Man U outright win but they have put up a more defensive lineup, Morinho will play his typically tight game, I think it will be a tight game but Man U can edge it with their attacking threat. Either a draw or Man U win for me.

    Arsenal vs Roma - Roma + 0 , 0.5 +120

Roma are being wildy unerated here, Arsenal team is not what it used to be, they have some key injuries, Arshavin cannot play plus there is a phychological factor in that Roma tricked Arsenal into a false sense of security saying that their key players are injured but it was all a game, they are playing one of their strongest teams.

I'm even tempted to put something small on a Roma outright win @ +400

    Overall Soccer Record: W 20. P 5. L 9

P.s If you take any of these teams and our team scores first, the odds for the other team will rocket sky high, I always put something small on the other team in these situations. For example, for the Roma game its Win/Draw that's 66/6% of the the probability of a win covered, so if they score Arsenals odds will go to something like +500/+600 all you have to do is put a faction of your original stake on this and you can sit back and enjoy the game knowing its Win-Win. This is the most ideal scenario in football betting and I really hope it happens tonight as these Champions League games are intense and teams give it their all.

Over 2.5 could be good for Barca game, Barca's defense is shaky with some of the key defenders out, Lyon has a good attack and poor defense themselves. Barcelona have Messi, Henry and Eto playin and Messi + Henry + Eto = Goals

    Two more bet:
    Man U vs Inter milan - draw at half-time $100 @ 1.92

guys - the road favorite doesnt always cover. these are classic sucker bet/trap games. yeah the magic may cover tonight, but play these road favorites that look so "easy" on paper, and you will hit no more then 50% of these games. this game has trap written all over it with a line of 2. gun to head - gimme the pts.

what happened to the warriors, and hornets last night?

83% of the public are on the magic, yet the line has dropped from 3 to 1.5

Dex is right; the trap games are some of my best plays. Although I thought Louisville (opened -1)against GWhores last night was a classic trap, but the GWhores didn't comply. I didn't bet them anyway, I gave up on them about 6 games ago.

the main reason i agreed to play bulls +3.5 aside from ck is that here at west canada lottery the line is orl -3.5;;they are giving me orlando by 4 and that smells bad;; why are they giving it to me;; they don't expect it to cash either;; usually when they give this line the fav does not cover and i am hoping it happens today again;;of course i'm nervous but GO BULLS
