so then this is not a true RLM play.....unless the opening % was on port?

if thats how ur doing it - i concur...as ck mentioned, the opening action is where the true sharps get down.

Dex this isnt a true RLM post. Just concentrating on the sharp money as soon as the book opens. Watching the very early huge money dont really care about the %.

Schaap, good job! All the douchebags talking trash with you in yesterdays lakers/jazz thread owe you an apology..... Its funny how you never hear from the shit talkers when they are wrong......

True, glad you noticed...i knew it was a bad spot for the Lakers and i dont like to bet against Kobe but I had the game capped @5 for the Jazz so i was close. Yeah, when they are wrong they dissapear.

i would suggest focusing on the games with no major injury question marks. that could move the line and its not sharp money. just adjustments by the books to the news.

I do agree with you though that the keys to winning in this business is using the line movements. handicapping the game itself and researching stats for hours is not the way to go.
well, someone out there has to be doing the research. i like to do a combo of capping and making my own line - which i in turn use vs the actual (look for value etc)- last night was a perfect example as i made a post about capping the game to golden state and loving it at the line of -2 (since i had mine set at -4). i would have put this in last night asap if i could have. got down at 3.5 today.

ok, but wouldnt you think "sharp" money is made clear when the public bet % is in one direction, and the spread moves the other?

ck would know better then me, and perhaps he did clarify that the other day. i missed several pages of that thread.

Its amazing how the average gambler reacts to lines and plays. i can see why making lines the way vegas does makes them a killin. Pubic perception is hilarious. i freak my buddies out when i use sports insights and run down the card. i can pretty much pick dead on what they are betting on game by game, they still cant figure out why i win and they lose. when they choose to follow me it will be one of the times that the smart money loses and of course im the idoit who bet against the lakers cavs celts or magic. Great thread though this is exactly how i gamble in EVERY sport every day
