Default Leans for Wednesday 1/28/09....DO WORK

I had one NBA play yesterday which I played huge. Denver -5.5 and they won as expected and I think a lot of people cashed there. I also played some other games in a little parlay, and also had a teaser. I had a good day yesterday and hope to continue doing what I do.

My Card Yesterday
Sams Card for 1/27/09
Denver -5.5 (Huge) WIN

4 Team 10 Point Teaser
Utah +10 WIN
Orlando +1 WIN
Lakers -1 LOSS
Texas +11 WIN

2 team parlay
Utah -1 LOSS
Texas +1 WIN

Damn Lakers, How do you lose at Home to terrible team like that.
1-2 day, up a little from Denver Big Bet.

Wednesday's card.

NCAA.....Big Card for NCAA including some big time games. #1 at #4 Duke at WF..Pitt at Nova...etc.
I'm not even going to try to give you guys my opinion on the NCAA. If you want NCAA picks, go to CK and NCAA thread. Sorry guys, trying to be honest and stick w/ NBA...my best.

NBA
Also big card here having 12 games. I like a lot of games tomorrow and have an opinion on most. I obv. won't be betting every single game, but here are my little write ups and each game.

Bucks at Indiana....(Indiana - 5...projected)
Bucks are in trouble losing Michale Reed for the season. They were a 5 point favorite on Monday Night playing the Timberwolves and lost. Now, on the road at the Pacers who are going to take advantage of Bucks loss. Pacers coming off loss last night to Magic, playing back to back, but playing a team who lost thier best player. No play for me here.

Kings at Boston (Boston -17)
Boston is back to playing like Boston. After playing like crap on their road western conference trip, they have now won 8 in a row dominating almost each game. 17 points is a huge ammount esp. for the NBA. To me, the line is just too high to even touch. In my opinion, Boston's big 4...including Rondo will easily dominate the weak Kings team esp. after Kings lost last night to Cavs. Boston will probably cover, but again line is too high. As of now, no play for me here.

Wizards at Heat (Heat -9) Really no opinion or any write up on this game.

Toronto at Nets (PK) Nets are coming off bad loss at OKC. Bad loss or bad game?? They played like crap, but OKC is a team who is playing very well as of now. Disappointing loss, yes, but this could get them energized. Toronto..I can't figure this team out. Mainly, they are team to bet against being very inconsistent, but they do have good games every once in a while. My lean here is on the Nets and this could potentially be a play.

Atlanta at NYKnicks..(Knicks -2) My #1 rule on the Knicks is not to bet them...being a big Knicks fan. But, I can give you my opinion. Atlanta has been up and down this year esp. now w/ injuries all over. Knicks are playing very well right now beating Houston on Monday after being down by 11 in the middle of the 3rd. I love the Knicks, and maybe will play them.

Nuggets at NO (NO -3.5 projected?????) I really don't know about this game. I can't think of a line and could be wayyyy off. NO playing decent w/ their injured guys. Denver playing awesome as of late. but, Denver played last night and won, now going on the road. EHHH, no play probably.

Memphis at OKC (OKC -7.5) That's right ladies and gents...OKC is a 7.5 favorite. And you know what, I like them. They are playing awesome right now. Memphis terrible. We all cashed yesterday w/ Denver, now let's keep it going betting against Memphis again today. I will most likely be using OKC in a tease and most liekly as well in a play.

Detroit at Minnesota (PK) Minnesota playing good in January. Detroit still waiting for AI and company to start playing like old Detorit. IDK about this one. Have fun in this one, nothing from me.

76ers at Houston (IDK line here) Houston already said Artest won't be playing and Yao as well won't be playing. 76er's playing good right now and Houston up and down. It depends on the line here, but won't act here until line is out.

G. State at Dallas (IDK Line)...IDC about this game

Charlotte at Portland (Portland -9.5) Portland just beat up on the Clippers on Monday. Now they are at home playing against Charlotte. Portland always starts out slow, but picks it up as the game goes on. They were only up 5 at half then exploded int he 4th and won the game by 25. I think 9.5 is a little high..we'll see

Bulls at Clippers...Who Cares

So to wrap it up my early leans are...
Nets PK
Knicks -2 ???
OKC -7.5
G. State as a teaser

Def. more plays to come
Lets Have another good day and DO WORK

As a Nets follower/fan, I don't like the Nets play. Terrible at home and Raptors always rise to the occasion against the Nets. Calderon is back and he is the playmaker of this team. Bosh is always unstoppable so this relies on Harris (he'll get his), CArter (laid an egg in their last home meeting), and 1 other player who HAS to step up....

This play looks even more better now that Charlotte went to double overtime with the Lakers. Plus, Wallace might be out for tomorrow's game because he left in the 4th quarter with a rib injury. He was also suffering from back spasms in the 1st half. Either way, Charlotte will be tired and even if Wallace plays, he won't be 100%. I'll be tailing you on this pick, Dexter.

Default Toronto, Toronto

Tomorrows pick has to be Toronto all the way. They are finally healthy and it is time to keep the season turnaround going. The nets are hit and miss and it seems that Toronto will be to strong for them to keep up. If you like easy money take Tornoto tomorrow and thank me later.

I also like the King s 1st half. Here is why... Boston has owned them in there own house and they remember. For that reason they will take them for granted but Kings will not. They want to evenge the blowout on there own turff.

Bro no disrespect put a 10 point teaser and you lose. If your playing 50 a game thats alright but no pro does that and if they do they don't lose. I am posting my win loss from now on.

Well it would be incredibly hard to go against Boston 1st quarter and Boston half in this game. The danger would be taking Boston -17 and a back door cover.

Boston wants to DESTROY teams right now...and they are a GREAT first half and first quarter team. When it seems this easy you need to be cautious...but I gotta roll with Boston BIG in the first quarter and half.

Another successful betting day today. On to tomorrow's pick:

line: ww@mh 191
pick: 191 under

Trends backing up my lean:

- the under is 8-0 for Washington when playing division games.
- the under is 16-6 for Washington when playing teams with a winning record.
- the under is 6-2 for Miami when playing division games.
- head to head, the under is 4-1 on games played in Miami for the last 3 seasons.

Expect a high turnover, low fg% game tomorrow. Ugly will be an understatement for tomorrow's game ladies and gents.

I know you said no disrespect and such but I know you tail CK and consider him a pro correct. Do you remember the Georgetown game a 10 point teaser with that and it would have lost? I am just saying anybody can lose a 10 point teaser especially in basketball when one team gets hot and pulls off an upset stuff happens.

helly boys and girls , for today i do like one game that is Indiana Pacers at home vs MILBUCKS no line yet but this should be ok so take Indiapa - the points ! they lost against Orlando and now are at home and hungry for points !

another game that should do the job today is Detroit vs MIN TIMBERWOLVES over 189.00 ( the line was 188 )
FInaly Detroit scored over 100 points in the last match against the Rockets !
MIn scores easly too so the line is just too low for me not to take it ..GO OVER

All the best,
Hunt3r

sorry BRO, that the Lakers lost yesterday. So what if I do teasers, I gave you a single bet in Denver which cashed and I also said that's basically all I like. I like other games, but only w/ the tease. But, sometimes, upsets happen and Lakers got beat at home to a bad team. it happens. Like I said though, the tease was a medium bet. Denver bet for me was large and I was up for the day from that.

IDK if I'll have a big game, maybe Portland...Portland line went up to 11, then dropped back down to 9.5, Charlotte coming off 2 OT game, and Corey Maggette might be out, Portland playing at home, most likely play on Portland, maybe big, at least a play.

I don't bet O/U...sorry....good luck on that play though.

1/29-

more of an instinct play here than anything - i'm going to side with the better defensive team, and play the cavs plus my projected line of 3.5.

Sacramento Kings at Boston Celtics

Oh man, the lines opened with the Celtics favoured by a whopping 16 points. I do admit that 16 points is a lot, but I think the Celtics will blow the Kings out of the water.
Of the Celtics' past six games, they've been relentless, they don't take their foot off of the gas: they have blow out wins over NJN (by 32 and 20 pts), the Suns by 17 pts, Orlando by 10 pts, and Dallas by 24 points. The Celtics are back to their championship calibur selves. Coming off of two-days of rest, they are not going to let the Kings hang around in this one.
To top things off, the Kings had a high scoring affair with the Cavs last night and kept the game close, mangaging to lose by only 7 points. This is their fourth and last game of an east coast swing, and the tail end of a back-to-back, their legs will not be there tonight.

Celtics -15.5 (bought the hooker)

Charlotte Bobcats at Portland Trail Blazers

The Bobcats have been a hot commodity recently. After beating the Lakers in a double overtime, they fly out to play in Portland to complete a back-to-back with travel involved. The lines opened at -9 and were quickly adjusted to -11 by morning. Keep in mind, Portland hasn't forgotten their recent overtime loss in Charlotte.
Of course, my initial thoughts on this line were that nine points were too much to give up to the surging Bobcats, but a double overtime against the Lakers will take the wind out of their sails. I expect the Blazers to drive to the net at will as the game progresses and the Bobcats start to exhaust.
Finally, if you haven't heard the news, Wallace left the game late in the fourth quarter after being elbowed in the ribcage. He went to the hospital to be x-rayed for a possible fractured rib or collapsed lung. I've had a collapsed lung before, and it hurts to take deep breaths. Now, I don't think he'll be ready to play tonight against the Blazers, and if word comes out that he's been ruled out, I expect this line to take another jump.
Nonetheless, I fully expect the Blazers to get the job done tonight as they cruise to a double-digit win.

Blazers -9.5 (got in on it early)

Memphis Grizzlies at Oklahoma City Thunder

I told you so: Memphis hasn't adjusted to their coaching change yet. They're being told to play a new style of basketball that they aren't used to. Last night, they were able to keep the game close at the half, but that's where it all fell apart as they fell victim to a Denver blowout. My experience tells me that Memphis is particularly bad in back-to-back games, and even worse on the road.
It's true: the Thunder are playing some good basketball at home right now. In their past four home games, they've pulled off wins against Utah, Detroit, and New Jersey. On top of that, the Thunder have already beaten the Grizzlies twice this year; once on the road, and once at home.
It is what it is: the Thunder are hot right now and I expect the Durantulas to put on a show for their 18000+ fans tonight.

Durantulas -6.5 (with the hook)

Upon closer inspection of my picks, it appears that all three of my picks are against teams on the tail end of their back-to-backs.
