NY Knicks +1 1Q Loss, 2Q double Loss, 3Q quadruple Win
    Toronto +1 1/2 Win
Detroit -137 ML 1Q, 2Q double, 3Q quadruple Loss No Play 4Q (Detroit looked TERRIBLE)

    New Orleans Win
    Memphis +1 Win
Minnesota 3Q Loss, double up 4Q Win
    Sacramento Win
    Orlando Win
    Atlanta Win
Detroit was supposed to be a play here but because we already had them large on the 3Q bet due to the 1Q progression I passed on them on the 2nd Half loser play.

Hi Curious, are these picks based on the pythag and log5 system?

Take the loser of the 1st Half for the 3Q for all games[/QUOTE]

I have noticed that trend...never kept track, but padded my losses with last minute 3Q bets on the loser. Good call

    No.

That doesn't work for the NBA.

For the NBA for games I use "who's hot / who's cold", when a hot team is playing a cold team that is a play. For 1Q I compare the win% for 1Q for both teams, if the teams are close in win% and the underdog is getting a lot of points I take the underdog.

The 3Q take the 1st half loser is a play that AfricanRoller told the forum about.

I have almost same bets, but I go for NO +4 and NO ML / ORL +4 and ORL ML. Orl hottest team atm, and lakers didn't convince me the last game. Think howard and the great 3-point shooters will kill LA

Curious, does the wager amount matter for this system? I am looking to give it a try.

why did you pick cavs coz they havent lost at home yet. you may not be updated but their ball handler west is also out. just looking up for you.

do you still feel strongly for the cavs even if west is out?

use the unit sizes stated. The ML plays and the spread plays are correlated, so if you play the spread also play the ML, and if you play the ML also play the spread.

Don't martingale the Quarters unless you have a bankroll that can handle a progression that can go up to 8X.

All the quarter plays are risking 1 unit for + odds and to win 1 unit for - odds.

I picked the Cavs because they have not lost at home and the Hornets are 2-6 vs spread in the next game after their last eight wins.

I think the lines offered by the books reflect the fact that West is out.

Curious, I have seen you put the Quarter plays up (martingale on a loss) in the past. How well have you fared? Have you had any really bad losing nights? I really like the idea because you have a good base of games to play and the idea is the stronger team will win at least 1 quarter. I assume you have had success since you continue to do the Quarter plays. I am definitely going to try it out tonight.

The Quarter plays hit at > 90%. Only 1 or 2 losing nights.

I will probably regret it. But I am removing the plays on the Cavs and Lakers.

curious, i've been lookin at ur thread for sometime now, and u seem to be doing well.
unfortunately, i go thru a bookie and he doesn't do quarter-by-quarter plays. i can only bet on 1st, 3rd q's and halves. if there a system you might know that will allow me to bet similar to yours?

Sizzur, I have similar issue. I can only bet on the quarter at the start of the game or at the half.

Use Google. Also realize that you need to be able to do this 365 days a year.

The OVER is 5-1 in Orlando's last 6 games overall.
The OVER is 16-5 in LA's last 21 home games.

I use Pinnacle as my sportsbook. They allowed me to bet the 1st Quarter but when I tried to bet the 2nd Quarter to double up on a loss they did not have the game. Which online sportsbook allows you to bet all 4 quarters of an NBA game?

So, if this team loses the 2Q then take them in the 3Q.

You have to use a place that lets you do it 365 days a year.

That is between you and them. I heard that several other people here have had success 365 days a year. But that isn't the only game in town.

I have been on OKC every day for weeks. I don't think they have lost an ATS in over a month.

Curious, my book doesn't let me bet Quarters individually after the game starts. After halftime I can only bet the entire 2nd half. What book can you suggest that lets me bet 3rd & 4th quarters after the half?

NEVERMIND I saw your answers to the other posters..

    Default nba quarter stats

    Hi Curious,

Thank you for sharing a lot of information on the board and being willing to help out with excel and such.

I noticed you like quarters bets and was wondering if you know where i could find nba stats on each team quarter by quarter.

I'd like to see how teams do in the first quarter in different situations without manually going through each teams schedule.

Your help is really appreciated. Thanks!

well i just wanted to see another one, cuz after doing this for 365 days a year i can't really read anything that proves it available. if there is any others let me know i had 3 quarters and five dimes* in my pocket and i thought maybe it would work but it also doesnt say it in writing that its available.

    Hi Curious,

Just want to make sure how you are betting on your quarter plays.

Here is an example of a loss.

    Detroit -137 ML 1Q, 2Q double, 3Q quadruple Loss

Lets say you were trying to win $100.

    Bet #1: $110 to win $100
    Bet #2: $231 to win $210
    Bet #3: $341 to win $310

If you lose Bet 3 then stop. Am I correct? This would make the total loss $682

On another note, if you did follow that betting plan on top you can really only lose 1 bet and out of 8 and make a profit.
