    Default Leans for Friday 1/16/09

Well we all knew that this day would come...A day where we can all get a profit using super systems. Two of the systems are Morrison plays, one is a shared Morrison and CK play, and the other is a CK play.

I am about to get out on the Town tonight, so I don't have much time to go into it other than to list the picks and let the chips fall where they may until this morning. I will be on the thread to clean them up and let everyone know the importance in which order they will be played.

    Bucks-2 Morrison/CK Play
    Spurs+1.5 (projected) Morrison
    Hornets+6 (Big) Morrison
    Atlanta-3 (projected) CK Play

Well with that I am off to San Francisco for the night to party like it's New Years Eve or somethin'

CK waddup my brotha? I plan on being in Vegas for a few days this wknd coming up. I hate to look that far ahead, but is there anything u looking at for the wknd? maybe a PC play coming up soon? I see a bunch of nice games.

I was thinkin of riding SA untl the wheels fall off. They seem to be getting the swagga back and even though on the road hey are facing Phil, Chi, Char and then back home for Indi. All game will be played during my stay in Vegas! I can smell the money already. Let me know thoughts homie

Hey Ck, the Hornets are a great pick but they don't qualify as a Morrison play. Their road game yester day was with Dallas who are in the same conference. Perhaps you mean in a two tier chase? Anyway I'll be with you on the Hornets. Hope you have a dynamite time tonight with the Missus!

Wait how the hell is San Anton getting points against Philly? That's gotta be some sorta mistake. The Spurs will control the tempo and force a half court game, in which Philadelphia resembles a middle school JV squad. SAS will easily win this game...

    IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH!

Elton Brand might make his return to the court tomorrow. You know what that means!

Here's the news article gentlemen. If Brand does return, that Spurs play is looking mighty fine!

Hey CK the Hornets are not a Morrison play tomorrow. Their last game was at Dallas in which they covered and also was in their conference.

I'm going with your Bucks, CK.

No one going ORL yet? I feel like it's a good play. Any reason why I shouldn't go for it?

    I'm planning on going:

    NYK+2.5
    MIL-2
    ORL+3.5
    OKC+4

What do you guys think of these?

That NY play is tough. Public is on the Knicks and the line went from -1.5 to -2.5 in the matter of 2 hours. Just some food for thought...

    CK -

I was looking at the NO play as well. At first glance NO looks like a solid play, they match up well against CLE and are 4-1 SU and ATS vs. CLE. With the public pounding NO, the line is shifting in the right direction (down to +4.5 on most books). Just wanted to add that CLE is a scary team after taking a loss SU. They have outscored opponents by an avg. of 21.67 pts after each one of their 6 losses this season. Granted, none of these games were on a back end of a b2b, and none of the teams played were on the same level as NO. But NO catches a steaming Cavs team, after a loss and prior to a tough 4-game west coast road trip.

EDIT: As I was writing this post, my brain kicked in, and I remembered that West fractured his wrist last night. Im guessing this might hurt the Cavs, just a little. Hornets is the play!

Anyone with funds on Matchbook, get em while they're hot! These lagtards still have NO at +6.

Im pretty new to sbr , just to throw in my two cents, its quite pathetic that people will blame another person if they lose. I read ck's thread everyday and find it very useful. I dont agree with all his picks but the information he provides is very educated and people should be thankful he provides for you. Ive bet on some of the games he likes, ive also bet against some . If you cant handicap your own games you need to stop gambling asap. On another note, ill start posting my picks daily, im new to this so we will see how it goes.

The other Morrison play is San Antonio!!

    Already locked MIL-2 (CK/Morrison play)

    Other games:
    - I'm thinking in going with the Wiz (revenge style)
    - I see a beautifull OVER 184.5 at Cleveland the game will be tight and both teams will score near the 100 mark (just need some good trends to back this up)
    - I want to fade PHX and go with the Wolves (let's see what the line will do all day, but after yesterday's game with OT and T-Wolves with 2 days rest....I think the wolves can make this close)

Well, what do you guys think?

    thats ck's projected line.

yeah, the morrison plays are just bucks, spurs. but remember people - the system calls for buying pts.

like i said last night, ive been waiting to jump on a hot streak by the hornets - they may be set to start cashing tickets. catching 6 pts to the cavs in cleavland has caught my eye - considering the cavs are coming off of back to back OT game last night (and 3rd game in 4 nights). no won outright in cleav last year, and the same kind of close game is expected tonight.

    something to consider:
How did CLE respond this year to a loss ?
Loss to Bos -> next game against Char at home won by 17 pts
Loss to NO -> against Dal on the road won by 19 pts
Loss to Det -> win at home against ATL by 14 pts
Loss to ATL -> win on the road against Min by 23 pts
Loss to Mia -> win at home against CHI by 25 pts
Loss to Was -> win at home vs Char by 30 pts
    Loss to Chi -> ??

so they won by more than 20 pts after a loss

something to consider, also NO is down to 4.5 right now

talk about RLM - 60% of the public is on the cavs, and the line has dropped 2.5 pts to 4.

good post peter - i just think the hornets are a very good team, and should give the cavs all they can handle factoring the fatigue with OT last night. awesome game to watch for sure..

the jazz are 4-0 their last 4 trips to memphis winning by an avg of 16ppg. utah should be eager to put forth a better performance than awful game they played in okl the other night. millsap will be a gametime decision, but i think deron wills this team tonight. memphis is playing brutal ball lately having dropped 7 of 8 both su and ats.

another great game tonight between the lakers and magic. while this is a revenge game for the lakers who are actually off of a su loss, they do respond well in these situations (1-5 ats off a su loss). orlando is 8-1 ats as a dog, while the lakers are 15-20 ats as favorites. orlando won su last year in la - this one should come down to the final possesion.

    -magic

jcl - see page 3 i believe of his "you will love this thread" - thread

You never lose if you pick your own games, right. Nobody believe you are MVP becuase you lose, everybody think you should go away and pick own games now. Stop following my picks. Good bye dragon

Anyway, on a real note, I caught San Antonio-3.5, and I actually played it stright, as i fully believe that they are 2 baskets better than the Sixers on any day. I played the Hornets last night at +6, so I locked that one in quickly. I know that Bgut is out and he is not a big factor as he averages less than 15 points per game. I am still going to take Milwaukee big. So far I have made the following plays for everyone to check out except dragon, as he will be putting his picks out for us to fade later on.

New Orleans+6 (got it last night)
San Antonio-3.5 (no cut, no need)
