Default Dwight Howard or Lebron James

Two most valuable guys in the league probably now and definently in the future. If you had to pick one to start a team, who would you take.

I remember a thread like this a while ago. Everyone was with LeBron. Don't get me wrong I'd love to take Howard too but if you had to pick, of course James.

Exactly...you're comparing a possible top 15 all time player with a stud big man. Howard is good but James is great.

a flashy player vs a steady big man inside.

everyone will say LJ23, but remember that a lot of teams have surrender their picks at the draft just to have a decent big man. wasted draft pick in recent years are on malilic, kwame brown, maybe oden, fr me bogut, yi, okafor.

pretty even if you are an analyst

but guards and forwards are the one who draws the attention with flashy dribbling, passing and long jumpers

    1.) LeBron
    2.) Howard

It's not even close. I'd take Lebron in a heartbeat. You need someone to get Howard the ball and he's limited offensively. Plus, he's a liability at the FT line. I know dominant big men don't come around very often but players like Lebron don't come around often either. I'm not knocking on Howard but he doesn't do much but throw up mini-hook shots, dunk, and lay the ball in. Outside of that, he doesn't have much of a mid-range game and of course, I already knocked him on his atrocious FT%. Defensively, Howard can dominate the game because he's such a great rebounder and shot blocker. However, Lebron can more than hold his own on the defensive end and offensively, he's just going to get better.

K both players are awesome but lebron has improved his free throwing and howard is still iffy at the line. Both players are great but i'd have to go with lebron. He's also a lot more versatile, in my opinion he can play any position on the floor. Might be undersized at centre but a guy who can handle the ball well enough to play point gaurd and is big n strong enough to post up consistently is just too valuable
