11/04-one play

Celtics team total over 22 (1st quarter)
-The celtics will go over the total either tonite against the rockets or tommorrow against the thunder. I am willing to sacrifice a unit tonite on the celtics tonite to go over 22. THis is a steal for giving the celtics such a low team total. THe rockets do play good defense but only against inferior teams. The rockets did beat the grizzlies 82-71 and the thunder 89-77. The rockets however struggled against the mavs defensively as they surrendered 33, 26, 27 and 16 points to the mavericks in the 4 quarters. The celtics are much better offensively than the mavericks. The celtics are rested as they have had the last 2 days off. The celtics struggled against the pacers on saturday night and lost 95-79. The celtics scored only 17 points in the first quarter of that game. I expect the celtics to score 25 plus points in the first quarter.

-The celtics last played at houston on march 18, 2008. The celtics won the game 94-74. The celtics scored just 21 points in the 1st quarter. THe celtics were playing a 2nd game of back to back as they had played at san antonio the night before. I am sure that with 2 days off the celtics can do better than 21 points in the first quarter tonite. Ray Allen did not play in that game but he will tonite.

Pacers team total over 26 1st quarter
-THe suns played last night at jersey. Tonite watch for the pacers to get off to another strong start. Pacers will score 100 plus points tonite. Pacers played the suns twice in 07-08 season. The pacers lost the first meeting 121-117. In that game, pacers scored 29, 35, 26 and 27 points in the 4 quarters. In the 2nd meeting, pacers lost 129-122 in OT. In that game, pacers scored 31, 33, 28 and 20 points in the 4 quarters. The pacers are much a better team this season than last year. Pacers have added point guards Ford and Jack to the team. BOth FOrd and Jack have good career numbers against the suns. Ford has a career average of 17.5 ppg, 5.2 apg and Jack has a carrer avg of 12.5 ppg and 3.5 apg against the suns. Danny Granger has been solid so far in 2 games this season. Watch for the pacers pointguards to have big games against Steve Nash, the worst defender at the PG position. Pacers have had 3 days off to practice and get ready for this game while the suns played at jersey last night.

Love the pacers play because I don't think the Suns can come out shooting 63% 2 nights in a row.

-The blazers scored 29 points in the 1st quarter against the jazz the last two times these teams played at utah. The blazers played a preseason game at Utah a week prior to the start of the regular season. The blazers scored 35 points in the the first in that preseason game. THe jazz do play good defense against inferior teams. THe clippers scored 20 points in the 1st quarter against the jazz on monday. If the clippers can score 20 and 25 points in the 1st quarter of two games against the jazz, the blazers can do better. Jazz did not play good defense against the top teams in the western conference in the 07-08 season. Only played good defense against subpar teams and tired teams with long road trips thru Utah.

hey TAB, i don't have o/u for teams in 1st quarter, i have like 1st team to 10 points, 20 points, 30 points and team half time scores, do u think pacers over 50.5 for first half is good play? they are also underdogs to get to 20 and 30 points, play there? or just stick w/ over 50.5 points for half??

blazers do it with 2 free throws with 3 seconds left in the first quarter and they score 23 with those free throws. YTD first quarter team totals 6-0.

I am going with this even though I consider this as chasing for another winner. I did not research much this game like I did the pacers and blazers. I have a feeling this can end my perfect season of 6-0 on team totals.

Looks really good as the clippers have scored 16 points with 7 minutes left in the 1st quarter. THe clippers can average a point per minute and it will still go over.

wow, clippers need only a bucket to go over 22.5 and still have over 5 minutes left in the 1st quarter.
