Default IF YOU were a Free Agent.. where would you go?

LAKERS: how would LA attract someone with Kobe's age... and if Kobe's salary goes to $25M next year, then $27M.. then $30M after (Kobe contract)

he might need to make a new deal..

ORLANDO: who would join Howard in Orlando.. when only one piece is missing in NY?

    CHRIS PAUL?

HOWARD: Thunder need only one guy... if Howard went to Oklahoma... huge..
if Howard went to Dallas.. they repeat.
If he went to Miami, obviously win title, and repeat.

Bulls goofed with Boozer $20M a season almost ...

The Miami Heat if I was a sharp shooting 3 point specialist. You can get so many open looks from the doubles the big 3 attract.

they already have a ton of shooting specialists, they don't need more.

I'd go to the Bulls. big market, competing for the title every year, play alongside the MVP, and COY. Whats not to love?

Overseas! No salary cap ! In the NBA... If I was a superstar, I'd go to Philly or Indiana, they are good teams that if they had a superstar, they would be top 4 in the East and I would look even better. The Suns and Bulls would be where I would go if I was just below super star level and I could be a Robin to Nash or Rose, if I was just an average player, I would go to a complete team that just needs a bandaide or a young body to carry some of the load like the Spurs, Lakers or Celtics. I wouldn't want to get involved with the Heat, I'm sure they are passing the buck down there and I would want no part of that if they were to falter again.

hmm good points.. all of 'em... Howard in Chicago would be sick combo.. in Dallas would be wild with Nowitzki.. do Euro players make the kinda dough that NBA players do?

i think all these guys would psycholically need to win in in theor environment,
in order to receive the specific regognition that they crave.. they want American props...

most of these guys would be lost in Europe culturally.. basketball players are not national heroes or villains in Europe
    as they are here...

the LeBron hate could never have happened over there... possibly in (football) soccer

Howard wants to be in a big market and he's personal friends with Rose. I think there's a good chance he might go to the Bulls...but everybody in the media seems to think he's going to LA.

No team has won a title with Lebron so why should free agents take their talents to South Beach.
Lebron needs a US Olympic team roster to win a title

I'd go to my home team Cavaliers and win a title just to stick it to the cHeat.

Anywhere but OKC. It's in the god damn middle of nowhere, where a bunch of white hill billies watch a bunch of black men play basketball.

Depends on what you're looking to do...

If you are young and want to learn from great players and try to take over for them when they leave? Spurs, Lakers, Celtics, Mavs

If you are in your prime and want to be a key piece for a run? OKC, Knicks, 76ers, Nuggets

If you only want to be a starter and don't care about rings? Cavs, Raptors, Bucks

    Miami cant sign him
Howard is stupid if he signs with OKC

    Lakers should sign Paul
Trade Bynum, Odom, and Artest for Howard

Big 4- Howard, Gasol, Paul, and Kobe

LAL shoud get rid of Kobe too, he does not have it anymore...

Lakers gonna have to fig something out with kobe's salary..
he signed a killer when he was best player in world and on top of his personal game...

    last year was $24M–
next is $25M... then $27M.. and final year is $30 Million
leaves little room for a killer FA..

Bynum apparently is considered untouchable.. buss loves him..
they'd better do something with him b4 he gets injured again.. or he will be useless

The Heat would do very well if they can get Nash.
CP3/DWill might go to Lakers/Mavericks. Both need new point guards; Fisher/Kidd are going to retire soon.

It would be interesting to see where Howard lands. I doubt he's going to the Lakers and Heat can't really trade for him. Maybe he'll go to Boston, maybe Bulls, maybe stay in Orlando, maybe follow CP3, don't think he wants to go to a city like OKC. Would be interesting if CP3 and Howard went to Memphis though and form a "big 3" with Rudy.

how is that supposed to work out?
they just signed randolph, gay got paid already, and gasol is about to get paid.

the thought that 2 top 5 players at their positions would want to form around a nucleus of Rudy Gay (yeah that guy that sat on the bench hurt during the gutsy Grizz playoff run), who MIGHT be a top 25 player in the league is laughable itself.

Not saying it would necessarily work. Just saying it would be interesting to watch.

Nash to miami would likely clinch it.. frees up Lebron to roam more, and gives them another outside threat..
    plus yet another MVP..

i wonder who would want to hitch up to the Lakers.. given Kobe's age..
he is the center of that team (and should be)
but every year that goes by, is exponentially likely to win another champ.

next year will be tough.. and after that. even harder with Kobe inev. slowing down...
plus.. K was NOT psyched about new coach... possible friction..
