NASCAR 2008 - Samsung 500 Qualifying
We are about 30 minutes away from the Samsung 500 qualifying on the Speed Channel. It is sunny and windy at the Texas Motor Speedway today. Looks like clear skys to, so no threat of rain. You got to love Directv for having Speed HD.

Anyone watching this? About 14 drivers in, Michael McDowell losses control and hits the wall hard. His car then flips numerous times. The softer barrier wall was crushed and the qualifying was stopped until they fix it.
To think if that wall wasn't there, or the safety precautions weren't set for the cars these days, I don't think Michael McDowell would of got out of the car and walked away. |
