Is it February yet? I'm in NASCAR withdrawal

My god seems like its been away for 3 months already. I'm dying for big fat weekly payouts, sweating GWC when I'm in 2,3,5th place. The studying all week, and all the guys discussing our thoughts. I'm bored as hell at this point.

I WANT SPEED WEEKS 2014 to start soon damn it !!!

I'm pretty sure the 500 was pushed back a week this year. Shit fire this blows

Fukkin goose-egg. Not even a damn free ticket.

I use to get a few of them all the time years ago cause they just started in tenn about 10 years ago. Thy are a big ripoff. I spent a lot and won a few $100 and $500 tickets, but never won overall by any means. Them I bought a $ 2 ticket one day, won a free ticket. Took it back to a diff store and just got another $2 from the free ticket and hit for $2, 100. After that I pretty much never bought them anymore. Figured was a good time to stop. Me and old lady might get 1-2 every week or 2 for fun but that's about it. Worst odds to even win $20 there is. Total scam

I bought $100-$200 of tickets longtime ago on a Xmas day, and won 3 free tickets and 1 single $5, and 1 single $3 winner out of the whole batch. No lie.

when i lived in WV, i did NOT know this guy at all, but was in 50-60s i think....at the time he won the biggest powerball jackpot ever at like $300 million i think it was....

come to find out he owned a huge construction company already and was already a multi-multi-millionaire

    talk about gross and unfair...lol

but......he went to a titty bar one night and had a briefcase of money with over $100,000 in it.....left it in his truck, and the briefcase got stolen while he was inside

what an idiot every1 knew he won $ especially there as he was a frequent guest the paper said, and to leave a loaded briefcase in ur truck in the front seat is asking to get robbed for any1, much less a guy that bragged all the time

    i laughed for days days

hell when i won just $2,100, i about fainted just because i know how hard it is to even win even $100 to $500 on a damn instant sctratch off...

...culminating with the championship determined by a winner-takes-all season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

...The final four remaining contenders would enter the season finale reset with the same amount of points. The driver who earned the most points in the season finale would be the series champion.

This sounds terrible. Although it would make it more exciting, it cheapens the championship quite a bit. Have one loose lug nut on the last stop at homestead and your done. This also makes the first 26 races even more meaningless than they are now.

Why are they even changing it? All of these chases have been close for the most part. If Matt didnt have a disaster at phoenix the finally would have been real close.

This is NASCAR's attempt to mimic the play-off format of stick-and-ball sports.
I like the greater emphasis on winning races, but I don't think I care for the elimination of drivers during the Chase.

What more do you need? This idea is ridiculous. If they don't want Jimmy to win, change the tracks. After one race there will be more then 4 eliminated. With 1 to go you have 4 possible Winners. How does that promote consistency? Motor racing championship should never be a coin toss.

Geez, do they have a drunken party and think up a new points system each NYE at NASCAR HQ?!

I like the idea of encouraging wins... but what happens for motivation to win a 2nd race? Or even run well after you are locked in. Can see plenty of teams that could see a win as an excuse to save money until the chase starts.

And having a whole 36 race season come down to 1 race, no matter how well you do in the other 35... yuk.

If NASCAR wants to generate more interest in the sport, a chase playoff and/or mixing up the points standings is not the solution.

How can NASCAR attract more fans, specifically a younger demographic? By doing one thing, if they can just get them to attend their first race. How do they do that? Lower the admission prices for all three series to a price point where every seat is sold.

After that first race, most folks are hooked.

Still get bonus points for wins. Ask Edwards how those matter. No issue with elimination as it always works out as usually after 4 or 5 chase races it's down to 3-4 drivers .

Opti thought you'd like 1 road course win and Ambrose in chase

Not gonna happen anyways but sounds rediculous. But they always come up with stupid ideas that never pan out to reality
