ha, nice that saves the race for you.

I had only one bet, Whincup for podium. Didn't watch the race but I have it recorded. Worth seeing?

Yeah, but any race around Adelaide is pretty good I think. Be tough to come up with a series that could be boring around that place.

As a Ford guy it was a bit disconcerting to see 12 Holdens and 2 Nissans in the top 15 most of the race.

My Dad's 75th birthday today and extended family are getting together. Won't get to watch todays race. And will miss end of Nationwide race too.

I'm an idiot. If I had done my research properly and not just assumed the #54 was still a KBM car, I would have jumped on that +425.

Anyway, just got to hope something goes wrong for Kyle now I guess. :\

    Kyle Busch +225
    Jimmie Johnson +400
    Matt Kenseth +500
    Kevin Harvick +700
    Brian Vickers +700
    Brad Keselowski +900
    field (any other driver) +1000
    Elliott Sadler +1400
    Austin Dillon +1500
    Trevor Bayne +2500
    Regan Smith +3300
    Justin Allgaier +3500
    Sam Hornish Jr +3500

I took a unit on Kyle to cover my other bets.

Waiting for B365 to give odds, and I'll then take Kenseth and a little on Bayne I think.

    Spread 4.2 units across;

Kenseth, Vickers and Bayne to win about 6 units

With Kyle and the Field as break even cover bets.

    and Parlayed

Matt Kenseth -115* vs Kevin Harvick
Trevor Bayne +120* vs Austin Dillon

    for +311

    Thanks Matt.

Parlay won to help me escape with .75u profit.

12 hours later and I'm still pissed off with myself for assuming #54 was still a Kyle Busch Motorsports car. Should have been a proper win. :\

Did you get to watch the V8s?

Surprisingly strong win by Van Gis eh?

Testing has just been confusing all through I think.

I doubt Mercedes have a snow flakes chance in hell of making an evolution of last years car to compete personally.

Which is probably not a bad thing for Hamilton if he can wring more out of it like Alonso did with his below average Ferraris quite a few times. Will make him look more like a great than his post WDC career stats suggest.

Why you asking? What are you thinking about it?

I watched the sunday V8 race, but didnt get a chance to watch race 1. Gis was very impressive, is def a future champion in the making. Im not very impressived by the way he got out of his contract last year though.

No bets for me in the cup race. Just got home from work now and thought I still had an hour before race start.

You listening to Ambrose radio Matt?

I like the way this crew sound on the radio much better than previous 2 years. CC much more forceful and just sounds more like professionals than a bunch of blokes out for a weekends racing fun.

Are you getting a 'clicking' sound at all on the radio?

    Another small loss this week.

Oh well, as long as the losses are small it's not too bad as the wins are usually big.

I just asked to have open parlays re enabled for me at 5 Dimes and was told the GM said no.

Surprised they would see me as much of a risk with my little bets. I'd guess I am lifetime ahead there, but not by much. Did my ass on last cash deposit and am only playing $140 sportsbook cash from SBR right now. And probably half my bets are parlays.

    Disappointed.

Hi Opti, RE: open parlays. Try clicking on Parlay at the left side, then make some selections, then Continue, then on the next screen you should see an Open Spots drop down list (below Amount and to the right of Round Robin), with a default value of 0 teams. Then click on the drop down list to change 0 teams to the number of open slots you want. You can start open parlays this way also.

Yes I know where it is. I've played many of them. A month or two ago 5Dimes removed the open parlay option, I thought for all accounts. I've seen a few people post that we just needed to ask CS to have them turned back on.

I have never won many, and definitely not one for a lot.

Kyle has opened rather short for Nationwide this week.

Guess that's to be expected the way he ran last week.

But... no Toyota or JGR team car has ever won at Vegas in this series (and only managed 1 win in Cup. 2009 with KyleB)

In 9 starts here Kyle has managed just 1 top 10 in Nationwide at Vegas (although has led plenty of laps on the way to losing every race)

After last week I really want to find a reason to just back Kyle @ +275 and forget about it... but it's looking like the opposite so far.

Shame old man Martin is not in the field, this is a track fro backing him.

    Kyle Busch +275
    Brad Keselowski +350
    field (any other driver) +500
    Dale Earnhardt Jr +550
    Elliott Sadler +775
    Brian Vickers +850
    Austin Dillon +950
    Trevor Bayne +1300
    Sam Hornish Jr +1500
    Ty Dillon +2200
    Justin Allgaier +2700
    Reed Sorenson +3300

I worry myself how unsharp I am sometimes. But square or not, the only measure that really counts in the end is your total withdraws minus your total deposits, and how much fun you have doing it. And I'm on the right end of the board on both those scores.

I have no confidence in picking a winner at this stage. I'm going to focus on H2H's I think.

None of my books have h2h's up yet. Where are these odds from?

Feel the same about a winner.

DiResta/Sutil, Maldonado/Hulkenburg will be interesting. have to lean to the established two guys with even odds eh?

Got any leans for the new guys in backmarker teams?

Those matchups will be close I think. Not ones I would jump on until I see some races. Sutil was really strong vs DiResta when they teamed up in 2011, but DiR was a rookie then. Maldonado/Hulk I would give the nod to Hulk but will really depend on who has the most competitive car imo.

    re backmarkers,
Bianchi over Chilton. This should be no contest all year.
    Pic over VdGarde.
Also going to consider Bottas over Maldonado, the kid is really good i think.
