    ESPN Fantasy Nascar Challenge- betpoints Contest - Last 10 Races- The Chase

    All Nascar Fans & Gamblers, heres a really fun contest we been playing around here for 2 years now. You have $100 Million a week to pick 5 drivers, each has a assigned value, which will go up or down each week depending on how they did last race & history of track. Then you have the choice each week to keep your same roster, or change drivers, keeping in mind the $100 million cap. Participating can be as simple as you want it to be.(A few minutes a week or do your homework)
    Espn has a great program set up and keeps track of everything for us.

    To make it more fun some of us degenerate gamblers here at SBR play for some points, but its free to play if you want also. This is Segment #3 (The Chase), it has 10 races from (ChicagoLand Sept 16 - Homestead Nov 18 ).

    3 Ways to Play:

    #1 We each put up 100 points at the start of a segment, winner is who has the highest score after the race segment ends( Top 3 get paid). Last segment (Races 12 - 26) we had 19 players put up 100 points apiece.

    #2 We also have a 25 point weekly side bet that goes to the highest score that weekend. These points we pay into a New Post b4 race each week. Winners paid by Monday Afternoon , (Last segment we averaged 16 players a week in side pot.)

    #3 Play for Free and see if you can hang with the Big Boys. ESPN even offers $1k per segment and $2k for the year to the leader.

    The ESPN game claims Hornish's average finish is 7 point something.

    Pretty sure that's not accurate. Maybe in Nationwide?

    I almost got sucked in by that 2 races back... actually I took him anyway. But don't think the stats are changing. Assume it's because of him being swapped in for Allmendinger rather than a new driver being added.

    Oh, so basically it's adding up his finishes and dividing by the number of total races for the car, many of which did not include him. That could explain it.

    Ah... that makes sense. I guess he came about 7th last race, which would explain it not changing (or not enough for me to notice)
