Alright guys and gals, were headed off for some road course racing this weekend at WATKINS GLEN!!...this is the 2nd and last road course of the Sprint Cup season...the nationwide series will also be racing at the glen on saturday afternoon..the truck series is off this week..personally, i think the Glen is 10x the race that sonoma is every year, just WAY more action and way faster as well....i always enjoy this race....

ill be focused on going big again on a few single H2H plays and picking a few winners...also will be more picky than usual on my early wagers....ive already started watching past 4 races, and looking over my personal notebooks for all drivers and my Wakins Glen track notebook...

Watkins Glen is a 2.45 mile road course with a total of 7 turns

as always just want to invite all regulars here to post any useful thoughts/leans for the races this weekend...no way this thread is the HUGE moneymaker it is without everybody's participation each and every week...and i appreciate all our regular OPs help all season long....ill be going for my 14th straight winning CUP race this week....

Do you think he deserves auto favoritism here Matt?

I think he has lost most of his natural advantage on road courses now. Still the best I'd say, but not that much ahead of everyone else after 5 or 6 years on ovals now.

Definitely, I would love to see Cup guys race at Montreal. Such an awesome truck.

I do prefer Watkins compared to Sonoma, WG is such a fast flowing track with a nice rhythm, but both are pretty cool. Sonoma very technical.

no way i would back ambrose at a crazy price below +500...he just doesnt deserve it imo..but worst fiish of 3rd place in 4 career races hard to argue i guess...these teams realy focus on road courses now

but sonoma just way too slow for my liking, the glen is a much more action packed race with high speeds

I do think he will be auto favourite, but probably nowhere near as much as he was at Sonoma. Especially since he screwed it up come race day.

But he is a gun at WG. He has killed it at Watkins the last 2-3 years in both Nationwide & Cup. Off the top of my head worst result was like 2nd or 3rd?

-300 to -400 i would guess...i dont bet top 3 and 5s so maybe im way off as i dont know that market well

Last year it was -200. I remember because I went way too large on it and I was nervous all week!

I am thinking it will be good parlay filler this time around.

marcos has won 3 nationwide races (think everytime he has entered actually)

2008,2009,2010

he did not enter last years race (kurt busch won)

so basically between 7 races in nationwide/CUP races, the worst finish Ambrose has ever had is 3rd place at the Glen

stewart and ambrose are definatley biggest threats to win the race

too bad theres no way in hell u can bet both and make any money

just have to pick 1 and go with it, sprinkled with 1-2 others to win at high prices

smoke has won 4 of last 8 races at the glen

watched last 4 races today, not much slow time in them either

and noticed were some BAD wrecks almost every race here....lots of race action at the Glen,thats why i like it so much better than sonoma...

gordon only has 1 finish inside top 10 since his last win here over 10 years ago, and that was a 9th place finish
