I have Mike Weir to make the cut at -172...he is off to a good start and I have gone pretty heavy on this one so i hope he keeps it up...he does like Pebble and the length of the course isn't really an issue when it plays this fast....he said "the harder a course is...the more I like it"....he likes it when par means more....

i think he is a guy who is a horse for certain courses...he is not good across the board.

How's that for a start - -3 and leading the whole thing right now....i'm feeling pretty safe at the moment.

a few bogeys to finish hurt the -3 ....still finished -1 and as of now he is in a tie for first which is still pretty solid.

ahhh........shot a 79 +8 round....does get in by a hair due to the 10 shot rule that only the US open has....much more stressful than it needed to be...i had considered barnes or yang for this one but they were bigger favs but maybe i would have no sweated as much this round.
