Good job everyone last night! Had the Blues for -18.5 for 2x and it was nice to see that one pay easily. Great way to start the season.

Hope y'all do just as well tonight. I'm taking Geelong for -29.5 x2. Get the sense Thompson's seriously out to prove a point to the media about where their focus should be this season.

    GL everyone!

I'm thinking Bombers +27.5 is the play. Bombers are a young side with loads of talent and when they get their running game going they are hard to stop.

The total is currently 193.5 at Centrebet. I think this is a good bet because Bombers like to move the ball quickly and they either score or conceed quickly.

    GEELONG - 27.5 (-105) 2x
    HAWTHORN - 29.5 (+100) 3x

Both teams should make easy work of their opponents.
I think Shari is right about Thompson wanting to prove a point, but, i also think the team will want to show everyone they are still the best team in the league.
As for Hawthorn, their biggest problem is not having a healthy ruckman, but seriously, they don't really need a ruck man to destroy Melbourne. I think Roughead will kick 6-7 goals as well.

Big call here with the bombers.....i agree with the young quick talented list, but they are playing Geelong here and much like Richmond last night I think the kids will get found out

Nice work shari, i was on myself. Geelong have an awesome record against essendon and it seems to be the one side there running game doesnt work against. Cats to a comfortable win tonight

Love the Hawthorn bet here all Roughead needs to do is bring the ball to ground and Hooper will pounce like he did at Brisbane....I think Hodge and Mitchell will control this game and get the Hawks an easy win......good luck

this is melbourne's home game, they will be fired up for this game. no franklin or ruckman. i think melbourne best positions is there defense. so if they can muster enough goals, hawks 20 to 30 pts win. it wont be that easy. demons will play compressed dirty and flood backline and counter attack from there. problem is there forward line. bol

Another line i love is Brisbane at -21.5. Fev & Brown combo will take a bit of time to work out, but having a look at the Eagles team, it isn't much better from last season except maybe the inclusion of Nit Nat who's now had a few games under his belt.

For the Demons/Hawks game, on paper you'd think Hawks would smash the Demons by more than the 5 goal line, but i don't know. I'm still suspect about this Hawks team but then again i think Demons are rubbish. I won't be playing this one as i don't trust either team.

I know but Bombers were the team who derailed the Saints season last year. They aren't a shabby side like Richmond, they can beat anyone or go close to it on their day. And everyone wants to beat the Cats. Still haven't pulled the trigger, I think the over is safer play but TAB not offering it.

Not sure about Hawthorn having NO ruckman...renouf isnt a bad player, he was on the cusp of their premiership side 2 years ago and I feel he is much better than Taylor who is a hack and a liability at time with giving away so many free kicks.
Melbourne have no ruckman at all i mean Jamar and spencer hahaha no good at all.
The more i look at this i cant see melbourne kicking more than 11 goals, even without Franklin i see the hawks winning by 30+ .
And yes melbourne will play an ugly game cause they are no good

I agree they are no rabble like richmond, but they are still playing geelong.

Totally agree, although you cant trust hawks melb were getting ready for a big start to the season after a horrible one last year only to be hit with some pretty bad injuries something they cant afford at all plus losing brocky to carlton. Look for Hawks to come out and belt them with everyone thinking there back coz they will look good against an injury riddled demons side only to watch geelong bring them back to earth next week. Must win hawks due to next week

It's stopped now, it was very brief. It's quite overcast in the city... BoM says chance of thunderstorms but i don't think it'll hit central melbourne. But then again, i'm no weather man

Weather forecast looks good for tonight...Im just about to leave work and im on the edge of the city, there is no rain atm.
If it does rain i will go harder on Geelong -27.5, they destroy teams in the rain.

Drizzling again just outside of the city (near Crown). As b3diddy said... Geelong are a great wet weather team.

I think the class of Geelong stands out even more in wet weather

lmao at Geelong. This lazy football side is going to be fabulous fade material as big favourites this season imo

Been anything but a lazy last quarter so far. Need two points for the over and those of you on the spread are looking good, come on cats.
