Default GroundnPound NRL Thread Season 2010

I missed round 1. But I am here for round 2

No decisions yet for this weekend.

My early lean is :

Sharks +6 @ Warriors

Warriors are good at home. See I am not playing a + handicap unless I believe the team can win outright especially with the short lines between +1 and +6. I believe Cronulla can win this game, so the points are a gift.

This is only a lean for now.

I think warriors will win this game, convincingly. Not being one eyed but the sharks are crap and the warriors are money at home. The warriors are inconsistant and the sharkies do look slightly better than other years and they may be able to keep it within the points but they shouldn't win outright.

Just my 2 cents, BOL

Ye Warriors are good at home and if they get hot they can beat up anyone over there. But I have a feeling Warriors are going to start slow this season. Later on the season Warriors are going to win a lot of games at home. I think Sharks can keep it close.

Okay guys my first official play

Bulldogs @ Dragons (-5)

This game is billed as a close potential semi-final/final game. But it isn't that. Dragons are going to run all over them.

I'm on Saints as well. Bulldogs are not the same team without El Masri and today I read Hannant is not happy and wants to return to Qld so some discontent within the team.

Good work Groundpound, I thought the dragons were a lock tonight until a few people put me off. Thats both games tonight
as I had the Titans then changed last minute. El masri gone so are the bulldogs he was a gun and they will find it hard to replace
a bloke like that. we'll get them tomorrow for sure

Yeah NRL and the NZ Domestic rugby cup are my main sports for betting, I was on dragons also but didnt post it seeing as im superstitios and everytime i post plays lately they seem to lose haha, so I wont be posting any plays at least for a while, just leans. I went 1-1 last night with a small loss on souths and a big win on drags.

Just wondering what line everyone else is getting for the warriors game? Im seeing -6.5 or -8.5 for the warriors and +4.5 or +6.5 for cronulla

I think the Sharks are being given too much credit, I expect NZ to win this one pretty comfortably.

Also, big difference in the total lines for the Warriors game. CentreBet has it at 34.5, sportingbet has it at 37.5.
Food for thought.

See my problem is right now I only got money in my pinnacle account and if i went to play an over under i have to go the damn TAB which I don't want to lol. Where in australia u from domestic?

Unlike Super 14 in the NRL all the lines are so close.

NZ vs Sharks I am going to look into that a bit more.

Agree with you Domestic. Sharks are the same shity team they were last year coached by a shity coach. Yeah they gave Melb a scare late in the game but away at Warriors is a different story. I'm not messing with the spread, just taking Warriors ML 1.50 at Pinny.

Panthers @ Cowboys (-3.5)

Panthers made a good start to the season last week beating down the Raiders. This game is in North QLD and the reason the line is so generous is because of the " promise " the Panthers showed. This is no lock, but its a good value bet. I am on it.

Wow from being down 20-8 to being ahead by 4 or 6. This pick feels that much better. Lets see if they hold on.

Guys one trend I'm noticing in the NRL, whenever a line moves against fav team about 1hr before kick off they win. FWIW.

I like these plays, took Sea Eagles at +12.5 though, needed that bit more security.
I also expect the Roosters to win, lets get this cash.

I like manly +8.5 very strong. Not sure about the other game, as far as I can see anything could happen, probably very high scoring though...
