    Default NRL All Stars Game

Does anyone know any bookies taken bets on the NRL All Stars game this week, i cant find any at all.... just for the record i think the All stars will win by 7 in a high scoring game, however very tough to predict, also anyone think this could be as big as state of origin?

As big as origin? No way. Even though I am not the biggest fan of origin myslef. This is just a gloryfied trial game and will be played as such.

The books will take bets on this for sure. I expect a game of touch so over might be worth a play if it is a reasonable total. However if conditions are wet the game will be filled with handerling errors.

Conditions will decided the play in my opinion.

    Dry - Over
    Wet - Under

    I'll be honest.

For this concept to continue, the Indigenous team HAS to win,or lose by a close score.

Currently sporting bet has AllStars -3.5pts. No book on Over/Under.

Whilst Im not betting this TRIAL GAME, my preference will be Indigenous MARGIN WIN 1-12

i'll be at this game on the g'coast - grabbed a few tickets when they went on sale ages ago.

but it's strictly 'entertainment value' rather than a serious betting opportunity. it's just a pre-season exhibition game, which the nrl (and channel nine) want to use as a publicity and public relations vehicle.

i'd like to see the indigenous team win - and the concept be a success... but i suspect there'll be a contrived result, with players on either side unwilling to risk injury ahead of the season proper.

    cheers

I think the All stars have too many points and better all round tacklers. Taking the All Stars ATS.
    Best of luck all.

ok, i was wrong. both sides were very willing last night, and there was no pre-ordained result.

the skills weren't great at skilled park, but that's to be expected from a pre-season game.

hope it becomes part of the nrl calendar.
