Artie no idea nobody cares because Tiger Woods is not in it

We're already seeing a big decrease in ratings

He is bigger than the game

Bunch of no names are winning every week

    MASTERS - I'm betting 3 units (3 different $50 win bets, that's it):

Jason Day +1700 // A lot of people looking at Day to be the next "best player without a major" - I'll take my chances for bigger payouts.

Dustin Johnson +2600, 1 unit to win. // Craziest player on tour, including Tiger - married to Gretzky's hot daughter. His 2014 finishes: T6th, T2nd, 2nd, T4th - after closing out 2013 with a win and a huge paycheck. Trustworthy.

Hunter Mahan +4100, 1 unit to win. // probably my favorite bet. Very strong at US Open & British Open last year and won some big tournaments. playing good enough golf this year got to jump on this kind of value. Sergio getting more betting money - ridiculous.

Matt Kuchar +2600, 1 unit to win // most proven player in past two years to never win a major & 2 consecutive weeks of 2nd place in tournaments. His game is there, right now.

Bubba Watson +2600 // Pass - is it me or has he sucked the past two years?
Patrick Reed +4135 // every reason to think this guy will be big - just not his first time at Augusta, same same goes for Speith
    Jimmy Walker +5283 //
    Harris English +7000 //
Rickie Fowler +8472 // No way.
    KJ Choi +12100 //
Miguel Angel Jiminez +10701 // my favorite player, no bet.

I like justin rose at +2500
    Luke Donald at +4000
    Jason dufner at +5000
    Good value.

think ill throw a unit on all 3. And a unit on them as top 5 finishers.

It may not be very original but you have to fancy Mcilroy. He has good course and recent form. Also Augusta is supposed to get quite a lot of rain next week which only helps him,see his previous major wins.

Pga tour made a terrible decision to move the players championship to May

Used to be the first event the general public gave a shit about and now that's become the masters

Now the tpc is just another "big" tourney in between all the majors

Drinker the PGA Tour needs a few Dominavt golfers to evolve like Garcia and McElroy to start winning a lot or the tour is in trouble

We all know Tiger is the reason golf exploded

He is still young golf age to be a great player if he is healthy. I think he started to fade last year at the end because of the back

Drinker I don't even watch golf anymore because he doesn't play and am the norm and that is what has PGA golf worried

He and Adam Scott are definitely live shots to take. Rory is in good form, which is all you could ask to see of him because his natural talent is off the charts.

is he still using that belly putter?

How come there are only choices on 5dimes?

Defending champ and I think was in the mix on Sunday in the rest of last year's majors. With Tiger done Scott is the best player in the world - and Rory is the most talented.

That said, Scott blew a 7 stroke lead at Arnold Palmer Invitational, his Masters warm up. It was disgraceful - his putting sucked. I'm sure he'll work on it.

Straight bets in Vegas is the way to go. When they were legit WSEX's live betting for golf was the best. Miss it tons.

    thanks for the info.

so who is a better pick for Masters champion Day, Scott, or McElroy?

Guys hardly ever repeat to win Masters back to back years so isnt that reason enough not to pick scott?

I would avoid Day, while he is a top dog player and dominated Matchplay Championships 6 weeks ago - he pulled out of his Masters tune up 3 weeks ago with a thumb injury. He says he feels great - but (and this is just me) I am happy to throw out his name, two things I know is this: 1) he just spent weeks not playing/practicing golf and 2) susceptible for re-injury. Actual injuries and even rumors of injury are no-nos for me.

My do-not-use list is Phil / Day / Snedeker. All great golfers - but for my money, not this week because of injury.

For me, I would factor in the difficulty in repeating. But I'm sure that people who know more than I do might say it's a non-factor. For my money it's a coin flip between these two - I'll take Rory.

Rory has gotten rattled on Augusta before - HUGELY. But that was before he won majors. Now I think he might thrive when others falter - he can make Tiger-like shots under pressure, he just needs to grind better.

Not too many stories like Walker, been kicking around a long time and suddenly balling in 2014. More power to him - who can say what his ceiling is? I certainly can't. Nice read here, Butch Harmon says he's ready: http://www.golfdigest.com/golfworld/...-tim-rosaforte . Would be a great win at big odds. I couldn't knock this pick if I wanted to.

Speith - maybe the guy with more talent than Rory, he's that good. But he's never played in a major before. This makes it very easy for me to disregard his name.

English is tops in Greens In Regulation and wields a sh*tty putter. This isn't enough to win first time at Augusta. I throw him out.

    Simpson definitely worth the look.

I'll stab with these...Olesen and Grace seemed to really figure it out after killing their chances in the 1st round.Olesen would have won if he just shot par in the first round and Grace would've been alone in 4th with 72 in rd 1.

    Branden Grace +32000
    Thorbjorn Olesen +16500

    And maybe these

    Marc Leishman +11500
    Peter Hanson +21500
    Ryan Moore +9500
    Bill Haas +8000

This Masters is wide open with aprox. 40 players with a legit chance to win. Its not because tigers out either, golfs just developed into this.
