QLD were clearly the better team after the first 10mins and deserved to win, video review was pretty dicey but didn't decide the game IMO. Nice win kingsr, I had a pretty large bet on the 1-12 for either side so good night all round

NSW was by far the better team in the second half, it wasn't even close actually. The bad call on the video review definitely decided the game because it put the score out of range of a converted try. Originally Posted by benrama

The so called 'bad ref call' did not cost nsw the game. Nsw had most of the momentum all game, yet couldn't convert it into points. Carney not finding touch off a penalty. Carney kicking for 2 points after a penalty instead of taking the tap when they're 40 meters out (and he missed it). Jennings 3rd man in like a hero! Bird throwing a pass to no one and the ball goes out!
These silly mistakes is what cost nsw the game, not the refs.

NSW had plenty of chances to take this game in the second half.
They dominated a good passage of it but they are not polished enough yet to take advantage of their chances.
Tamou was doing damage to the QLD line all game.
Was it really worth having Buhrer on the bench just to give Farah a 15 minute spell? I thought Farah was excellent though. Much more threatening than Ennis. Was a shame they were chasing the game and he put that kick out on the full.
NSW are so close. Game 2 will be massive.

it wasnt a so called "bad call", it was DEFINITELY a bad call. If the right call is made then there was a good chance that nsw could have scored another try. to me it ruined the end of a very good game. Originally Posted by kingsr

We must have watched a different game, NSW had plenty of ball sure but QLD was by far the more attacking threat after the first 10 mins. NSW lacked any creativity in attack and it's telling that their only two tries came from kicks.

Yeah hawley, I'd stick with the same team bar 2 players. The run on side was great.
Get rid of creagh, he should never have been there to start with. Replace with watmough. This is a crucial replacement and a no brainer.
Get rid of Buhrer and replace with hinchcliffe. Not really critical but I prefer a player that can play hooker ( if farah needs a spell) and also second row. This was a WTF choice to begin with.

They probably were, but just couldn't finish. Not good enough in the end. They will build from this is they stick to the same team.
