Im not big on horses, so Im not sure if Im going to wager on this event or not.
I will tune in to watch it though. I just hope we dont see anything like we did at the Preakness.

I'm leaning toward Steppenwolfer as well. I also like Ermine in the Acorn two races prior. Both horses being ridden by Robby Albarado, who is due to win one of these big Triple Crown races.
I'm expecting about 4-1 on Steppenwolfer. Put John Velasquez or Garett Gomez on the horse and he'd by 5-2 or less. Doesn't mean he'll win, but Albarado is not known nationally, so we might get a better price with him riding.

If you check the PPs, notice that Steppenwolfer, when breaking his maiden last year at Aqueduct, beat Jazil by a nose. Means nothing, but very odd to see 2 horses from the same 2-year-old maiden race meet in a Triple Crown race the following year.

Hollywood Park possible
In the 5th race on Saturday, I'm jumping back on the No. 2 horse Popaki. I won on him when he broke his maiden 2 races back at 12-1 and came back on him next out at 38-1 when he ran a very good 3rd ($12 to show) in first try against winners.
Today, he'll likely be one of the top choices in the same type of race, cutting back to 5.5 furlongs. There appears to be plenty of early speed in here, which would set up his late run with a good trip (easier said than done).
I'm going to play him in a DD with likely favorite Lava Man in the Grade 1 turf race in Race 6. Not thrilled with Lava Man being shuttled back and forth between dirt and turf, but I just can't pick anyone else in here.

In agreement with the posted two by kdmfox and picantel and Seattle Slew.
I don't think I'll be doing any trifectas today. Jazil and Steppenwolfer are the horses that should compete for this win today. Only exacta boxes and win tickets for me today.

I'm leaning that way, although I may toss in Bluegrass Cat for my exacta.

Is anyone else watching the belmont races before the stakes race? I am not seeing a whole lot close and am a little worried about my Jazil pick considering I hit the first 3 out of 4 races in the pic4 and just need Jazil. This is sucking.

Im watching the coverage picantel, but Im the last person to give any information on horse racing.
That tuff race was a good one, with 4 horses together at the finish.
Good luck with your picks, and I hope you make some cash on the Belmont bud.

I have no clue what it is. I almost always hit the Belmont. I had savara and that other 30/1 shot. I always hit it. I will never understand why. Sigh too bad 4 horses I had could not get 2nd. bleg
