Utopia makes his second appearance of the year in the Grade Two Meadowlands Cup Handicap over nine furlongs on dirt at Meadowlands in New Jersey, USA, on Friday, October 5.
The seven-year-old made a successful US debut in the Grade Three Westchester Handicap over a mile on dirt at Belmont Park on May 2, defeating Political Force by a length, a fine effort considering it was his first outing for over 13 months.
On his penultimate outing in March, 2006, Utopia captured the Group Two Godolphin Mile on dirt at Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, storming home for a four-length success over Win River Win.
Utopia showed high-class form in Japan during the 2005 season, when he landed the Local Government Grade One Mile Championship Nambu Hai at Morioka.
The mount of Michael Luzzi, Utopia carries 8st 7lbs and faces six rivals, including Magna Graduate, second in the Grade One Stephen Foster Handicap earlier this year and smart three-year-old Xchanger.
