I see one of 'those' service's saying they have collected in 67% of there races ..what does this mean to a novice player after all the way I look at it I could collect in a 100% of my races if I bet on every horse of every race,I then would have 'collected' in all my races ...I appologize if this is an ignorant question I just do not fully understand..appreciate any response...ncat12

I think you hit it on the head "Collecting" is a term a service would use for "not profitable"

I would guess you would want to look for a service that shows a level stakes profit or a good ROI ... however without following the service yourself - I guess they could just make-up whatever they wanted and stick it on a website ....

I could tell you to back all odds-on favorites in 6 runner races for a "show" bet and you would probably "collect" more than 67% of the time ... and i'm not charging you lots of $$'s each month for the "information"

Thats shady language for 'cashing'.. which is total BS.. I could bet $500 on a race and hit the $45 exacta and say I cashed.. Even though I lost $455

exactly what I was thinking....I just cant wrap my head around the thinking of that type of advertisement...as you said ... a good ROI , if they have it, is what they should advertise..shoot it is not like any of 'those' are ethiclly(sp) bound or what have ya

no not considering ..they do more than just horses and I am on thre mailing list and seen the advertisement...but hell I am looking for what everybody is ..a 50-1 shot that is a lock

yes 50/1 locks are pretty common :-)

i have touted before and I can tell you there might be 1/10 of 1% that are very good, worth of payment... very few and far between
