    Default best off-shore horseplaying

Hi all. I live in one of the 13 states that are still backwards and have not adopted legal horse wagering. So far I've been using 5Dimes for my wagering but I'm starting to tire of their betting and payout caps and keeping track of which track gets what payouts and betting limits. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a better and hopefully simpler alternative. Thanks for any help!

i had no idea certain states didnt allow horse betting, is it where you cant wager at all, or can only wager on in state racing, or through in state otb's??

There is no wagering here period. No tracks, no otb's, no adw, no nothing. It sucks.

i use bodog for my wagering. they have caps of $500 a race at major tracks, but max payout per race are like 50k. also they have live odds for most tracks, which are usually quicker than xpressbet and have more jock changes than xpressbet too. also you get a rebate of 3% on all WPS wagers and 5% on exotics.

tried bodog yet? you'll have the max payouts and chit but just wondering if you've checked them out and found them to be too much bs as well...i use my local otb racebook for most of my serious wagers but find myself placing more and more through bodog due to the fact that i can fund my horse play through my hockey handicapping
*the other nights 100K+ pick 6 was not available at bodog-not that i would've placed a pick 6 wager in a 100k pool w/bodog but im pointing out that they may not offer everything you want as a pony player.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't checked out bodog yet, but I will now. I play mostly multi-race exotics. Does the $500 apply to those as well, or just WPS? I like the idea of rebates. I'll look at betonline, too.

well the 500 dollar limit is the amount of which you can wager on a race. I'm more of a Win bettor so i dont know too much about the multiple race limits. if you're interested in like pick-sixes, i don't think bodog ever offers that.

Bodog sounds like a good choice but if for some that doesn't work try BetJamaica I've used them before and liked them. Not sure on their limits though.

dd, pick 3 and 4's all day long @ bodog. i think they stay away from the giant pool bets due to the fact that they arent putting your wager into the pari-mutual pool therefore if you hit for like 50k they'd be taking a shot to the arm. i could be (and usually am) wrong though....

I find Bet Phoenix and Jazz to be good offshores to bet the ponies at. The caps on exotics I find are too low at most places. Especially Greek and Bet Jamaica. I was pissed at one time when a Pick 4 I hit on had a 300-1 max payout (Bet Jamaica) when I hit it for about twice the limit.

I got an OTB at a harness track right near me if I need to place an exotic wager that can potentially pay real good.

I feel bad for people living in states that don't offer TVG, YouBet or don't have OTB's

If you are a thoroughbred bettor, Caribsports is by far the best for offshore.. Their limits are the highest and they offer virtually every t-bred track (plus meadowlands harness)... If you're a harness player, Betjamaica has a great selection..

you know, after researching all these recommended sites, 5dimes is actually the best of them all for the way that i play. most sites won't offer the pick 6, they give you a 10% bonus on every winning ticket, there are no payout limits at major tracks except for per race total limits, they offer more tracks that qualify as major than most, and they have a very easy deposit program through **. i guess i was just spoiled on otb's and such and thought this was a bad site. i think i would actually now recommend them to horseplayers in a similar situation.

p.s. their customer service has always been very friendly and helpful

I do like the odds updates being shown at Bodog. Wish more books had that.
