I think Rachel will get just a little too far ahead and will be just a little bit too fast for Zenyatta to make up the ground she will need to make up before the line .... either that or one of them will simply run way below par and be soundly beat.

I think its gonna depend on the other horses in the race. If another horse can press Rachel to quick fractions, she might get tired towards then end. If you look back at the Woodward, she ran 6-furlongs in 1:10 and she barely held on to a strong closer in Macho Again. I think Zenyatta is gonna make a move earlier than usual to try to confront Rachel. Zenyatta is one fierce competitor who does not like to get beat so i see her winning this one.

That's the key right there. Mike Smith needs to have her just a little bit closer than normal. No way i'll put money down on this race .. but can't wait to watch it.

I favor Zenyatta myself......I just don't see Rachel and Zenyatta getting above even money come post time....Probably will be a better race to simply watch than to bet on. Will wait and see though......

Won't be a wagering race thats for sure...Exacta on these two either way will be so small. I'll bet Zenyatta for fun though because I'm such a fan. She got screwed in HOTY voting and this will prove she's better. Smith will have her in the perfect spot. He learned his lesson this past year at Del Mar where he waited too long and only won a nose. If she's (Zenyatta) on her game Rachel's lead won't matter, there's no way she holds off Zenyatta.

Yeah their health is huge for this anything could cancel this race!!!! Zenyatta was definetly screwed on hoty....The last 20 seconds of that race from when Mike Smith shakes Zenyattas reigns and she catches up to Rachel and they meet eye to eye, whatever happens after that is going to be incredible...I cant wait for this race, definetly the biggest race in horse racing history

Totally agree here. Horse racing needs this and it could help build enthusiasm into the TC races. The general public needs to see more races on TV to see that its still alive. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a good year for horse racing.

later when they want to keep running a good horse they will want more $$$ because they will say the fillies ran for 5 mil purse and to see one of those two run again they will need to have an inflated purse.
