Well, I may prove to be dead wrong on this, but I don't think Zenyatta has much of a chance to beat the boys with her last-to-first running style at a mile and a quarter. I think this race is asking a lot of her; if that were my horse, she'd run against the girls.

Don't know much about RVW; I'll have to take a look at the past performances tomorrow.

It's been a bit hush hush, but Rip has been battling the same foot issues that have been known to plague him. I'm not touching him in the Classic.

Zenyatta, while a very nice filly, is more a trifecta filler than a win candidate in my opinion.

Einstein on top. Possible hedge with Gio Ponti. Can't take any part of Quality Road or Summer Bird being that neither have ever raced on synthetic. There isn't anyone else to be afraid of. There also isn't a horse on the grounds that is presently doing better than Einstein. Take it for what it's worth.

Food for thought. Summer Bird used to be in John Sadler's barn last year and was transferred to Tim Ice because Sadler never though he'd fulfill his promise on the synthetic. While he is a much better horse at this time in his 3 year old campaign, why would you want to take a short price on him?

I agree with that last sentence a LOT. I'll know a lot more after I do my handicapping today and tomorrow, but on the surface, I think that if you're looking to find the winner, you probably can narrow your choices down to a handful. Play the others in your exotics.
