Default Breeders cup what are your thoughts?

This is a thread where everyone can throw in there two cents on certain raceS
or certain horseS

first of all, call me wacko but i have a hunch that if zenyetta runs with the girls, she gets beat by music note and for the other 2 horses on the ticket in that race, i like careless jewel maybe even 2nd and life is sweet for 4th.

In the breeders cup marathon i think either nite light or mastery wins this
@1 3/4 miles

in the breeders cup juvenille fillies turf race i like either tapitsfly or the european horse lillie langtry to win this going a mile.

Feel free to share your thoughts

Einstein in the Classic is easily the best bet of the 2 days.

Justenuffhumor and Zacinto deserve a look in the Mile as an alternative to Goldikova.

Think i might have 2 solid winners what do you guys think? In the breeders cup turf sprint i think california flag is a stand out hes in great form and loves the poly and i think his competion will come from lethal heat but he should still win the other horse is in the grey goose juvenile where gomez will get lookin at lucky home for the 5th time. Hes another horse that loves the poly, 4 for 4 in california and i think he wins this one what are your thoughts on these?

Entries are drawn in a little over an hour. Past performances will be available tonight probably around 7:00 EST at DRF. I'm sure Brisnet, Equibase, and any other providers will have them out around the same time give or take a bit. Both Friday and Saturday races will be drawn and pps available this evening.

Joey, good luck with California Flag, but I think there's a bit too much pace in that race for a wire job.

In the Distaff/Ladies' Classic, I'd give a strong look to Cocoa Beach. Should be cycling forward again and her latest workout was phenomenal from a visual persepctive.

One other thing Joey, I think you're spot on with Lookin at Lucky. He's a nice horse for Baffert and has been a bit lazy in his races only doing what he's had to. Likes to play and let others come up to him and then draw off again. He was another with a phenomenal workout in his latest. He was in company and drew off late - a good sign that maybe he's starting to mature a bit rather than goofing around with the competition.

Now that Zenyetta is confirmed in the classic?

I don't see Zen cashing in the Classic, but I think it really opens the door for Careless Jewel in the ladies....

The Sprint may offer some promise. With Zensational drawing the rail and Fatal Bullet in the 3 hole, the probability of those two getting in a speed duel has greatly increased. With Capt. Candyman Can in the 8 hole at 15/1 ml, as a one run closer with a potential dream setup in front of him, he may be a great bet. My advice would be to watch how Oak Tree plays the next few days. The early part of the meet, one run closers dominated all sprint races.

After further review, Capt. Candyman Can is more likely to finish a late running 2nd. Fatal Bullet may drill this field. His pace figures and form cycle is way better than I had thought.

Einstein is still my best bet of the 2 days. Not often that you get a horse at 12/1 ml that should be 4/1 imo. I'm anti Zenyatta, Rip Van Winkle, and horses without prior synthetic experience.

Also, Radiohead has some buzz about him and is bred to at least go this far. At 15/1 ml and the addition of Lasix, he deserves a bit of a look as an alternative to Lookin At Lucky.

It's a great sport Archie. It's been going through some tough times, but progress is being made with track management finally recognizing that lower takeout could lead to greater revenue. The head of the NTRA acknowledging betting exchanges is a great 1st step as well.

Best of luck this weekend with your wagers!!!

If you remember, this was how last year's BC races went: Speed didn't stand a chance, so when you're handicapping this year's cards, you more than likely will need to keep that in mind. I hope the track allows each horse to run to its tactical best.

Final single selections in selected races for me are the following:

Friday:

Only like 1 horse on the day and it's in the Ladies Classic. #8 Rainbow View. Thought I'd like Cocoa Beach, but I think the cutback as well as her class makes Rainbow View awfully tough at a hint of a price.

Saturday:

Juvenile - #4 Noble's Promise

Mile - Both #8 Zacinto and #10 Justenuffhumor deserve a look at a price.

Dirt Mile - #2 Furthest Land

Classic - #8 Einstein

Best of luck to all. Should be a couple of great days of racing.

Friday

Marathon: Keying 3-4-5-6 in my superfectas
Juv. Fillies Turf: 7 (House of Grace)
Juv. Filles: 3 (Blind Luck), 7 (Devil May Care), 10 (Negligee)
Filly & Mare Turf: Oh my God, is this a tough one! I'll try 4 (Magical Fantasy)
Filly & Mare Sprint: 9 (Ventura)
Ladies' Classic: 7 (Music Note). Don't care for Careless Jewel's front-running style.

Good luck to all!
