What tracks do you have the worst luck at?

We all have our favorite tracks but fun chatter what are your worst tracks or where you just can't win. I am a pick 3 and 4 player and honestly the below tracks kill me even though big payouts

    1. Indiana Downs-- You might as well make a ml of 5-1 on every single horse. Ever freaking race is a 1-1a also.. Good payouts, but geez the longshots kill me here, but give them credit for 13 horse fields.

2.Woodbine-- No clue what I am doing there it seems. Canadians taking all my money.

    3. Evangiline- Might as well line up 17 horses and guess which is the best one to win.

    4. Golden gate-- Honest to god, 5 and 6 horse fields every single race and i go 4 deep and lose. I could box 5 horses in a 6 horse exacta and lose. This track ughhh.

indiana- the announcer bothe will drive you crazy. can't play there. evangeline-might as well consult a tele-evangelist for picks nothing but a cavalry charge. woodbine- at least they have .20 pik 3's,4's so you can limit your losses. golden (slippers)gates, mercifully they close for the summer but never seem to restock their horse colony. bottom line do not bet horizontal pik 3's,4's,5's,6's anywhere. why let the track choose what types of races you play. bet vertically exacta's,tri's, supers, so you can pick the races you like and throw out the one's you don't. short fields, maiden 2 yr olds etc.

How funny, I agree with EVERYTHING you're saying. Parx is my home track. Tough one too.
Love your analysis of these tracks especially Woodbine. Might as well throw a dart on the wall and pick whichever horse you hit.
Your picks are very good when you post.

Mountaineer, any track that allows Burton Sipp to stable there makes me want to puke.

Mountaineer is another tough one with Deshawn Parker totally controlling the odds. Whenever I pick Deshawn as a longshot, he loses. When I pick him as a favorite, he wins.
Can't take the announcers anymore. Nancy is good but totally bored to death. Mark gets my nerves with his spitting as he talks.

Woodbine gave up there. No Cal when i bet Baze he loses when i bet against him he wins.Santa Anita do great at all the other so cal tracks but SA Lose every bet.My Home track PRM Wow i stink. My best tracks are Delaware i do not know what it is but i cash every time i play there. The New York tracks all of them, really have improved there.Gulfstream is it or mis.Fair Grounds the same thing.I really use to Love Mountaineer even went there hit my biggest tickets ever from 02-09.But the last couple of years the fields have went from 10 horses every race to 5 or 6 and a 3/5 shot in every race so i do not even look at the Mountain anymore.I love Mohawk harness do great there Meadowlands hit or miss as well.John Bothe is just a little older now and out of his elemint with the tbs much better at Harness. At one time he was the best in the world. He was the Big M announcer in it's heyday back in the 80s.

Honestly I don't get how he's ever allowed on any track, not only a racing violations rap sheet 4 feet long but as a human about as scummy as it gets.
I go way back with him from Keystone (now Parx) and his zoo stuff appalls me too.

I don't either and I do as well.

I could not believe it when I saw that he was training again.

Hollywood has kicked my ass this meet. Hard to get a read from day to day.

Louisiana Downs is another hard nut to crack for me.

Lousiana downs is another tough cracker. i just stopped playing there. I could set the ml's better then they do. I played there today and in 2 races i went did a 4 horse exacta box in a 8 horse field and my horses finished 5,6,7,8 and then did a trifecta box with a 6 horse field and they finished 4,5,6th.. i gave up.

Golden Gate kicks my ass as well...

One new one that I have found great success at so far is Fort Erie.....

  19. #19

Sorry for getting off topic yesterday.

When I shipped to Keystone / Phila. Park, I rarely won. My % must have been really terrible there. I won a few, but not nearly what I should have.
Always did very well shipping to Monmouth and The Meadowlands. I guess they made up for my bad showings in Philly.

Weird how that happens isn't it.

Does everyone hear post their race selections on any other forums? Wish we could handicap a track during the week and see how we do.

Same goes here. Especially Turfway... yuck.

I used to LOVE Keenland when it was dirt.. Now it sucks.

Well Bruce, we do have contests... at least sometimes we do and most of the time Mike just kicks our ass

  25. #25

I will start doing the contest again next week if possible

    o.k. Tony.. No problem.

    I love Golden Gate

Keeneland rips me to shreds every single time I try to play that circuit. If its not the 3/5 favorite its some completely random 25-1 shot that you had to dig about 13 races ago to justify it winning. Not to mention you have to compare track conditions, splits etc from the 40 or so different tracks that converge to race there. Full fields, great, kicking my ass up and down the street. bad

  28. #28

I can make sense of the turf there though.

I tried Indiana Downs this year and very quickly stopped after getting thoroughly trounced.

Mountaineer and Indiana downs for me.

Turf Paradise is my favorite track. Home track...

  31. #31

Indiana downs is the loto game, not the horse racing track.Turf paradise is ok but live stream is very, very bad.Golde gate is fine to me,live stream is extremly good, plenty of the time for pick the winners and not to many horses. My fav. is the Gulf stream,Tampa bay,Hawthorne etc....

bruce denton: try e-ponies.com.create user name& p-word,then click on cap2win on e-ponies home page, create another user name &
p-word.this site has a weekly contest where you pick at least 12 horses,up to 40 horses per week.best roi wins $300,i believe.you get to see the others picks for that day,and your personal standings are in clear view.you can pick from 0 to 4 selections per day.what i do is log into
cap2win,find the tracks are available, research selections elsewhere, and return to cap2 to make my picks.e-ponies homepage has free picks
to view on several major tracks.picks have entries, postpositions, jockeys, and rankings in several categories.
not done yet.e-ponies also has a forum to join with yet another user &p-word requirement.there are good cappers in the forum, and not so good cappers as well.sniff em out,and good luck.
