As far as against the Flyers, everyone thought it would be a tough series at the beginning, but have realized that the Flyers have no shot without Timonen/Coburn.
Most people think that a Penguins/Detroit series would be great, and the Pengiuns could win the series. Everyone says Detroit has the advantage on defense, about even as far as the offense, and Pit has the advantage in net. I don't think anyone is taking Detroit lightly. But everyone is very excited about the team.

I think the Penguins speed/size combination could give Detroit problems. Their biggest forwards are the same size as the Pens smallest guys. And everyone on the Pens can skate.

Pittsburghs team D is vastly underrated. They can play shut down hockey.

Its an initial push. The longer are Stars go without scoring, the more frustrated they will get. Detroit will take over. They arent being outpositioned

You cant be worried about what happened in the first. It was kind of expected. They need to create off the transition in the next period. But to get out off the first tied against a desperate hockey team is a plus. If the Wings can manage to score the first goal, will it break the Stars backs?
