I think Dallas has a chance. I am not sold on Osgood, and the Wings looked great against a slow, injured avs team. Dallas will be able to skate with the Wings, and have the edge in net. Osgood looked ordinary against the Avs.
I don't think Philly has a chance. Their forwards are good, and Umberger is on fire. But their defense is big and slow. I can see Smith, Jones, Hatcher, and Coburn getting pinned in their own zone by the Penguins forecheck. The Penguins speed is something their defense cannot handle. The same was true against the Canadiens. The Canadiens carried the play in every game, and dominated in some, but could not beat Biron. Biron is mediocre and is not going to play this well indefinitely. The series would still be going on if Price hadn't fallen apart. I don't think Fleury will be letting in goals like Price did. The Flyer's propensity for taking bad penalties will catch up with them at some point, and it might be this series.

when you have turco in net you gotta think you have a chance in each and every game .
imagine the confidence he has after making 61 saves to send sj packing . that is a major wow !!! one of the best performances in nhl history maybe , it was to me anyway , not sure how others evaluate that performance .
i like the stars to win the series .

I think one of the two "dogs" goes to the Cup Finals. Flyers were 5-3 vs. Pens, so how can they not have a shot? That series should be goal happy me thinks. Stars I think are the more likely of the two. You take out the defending champs, the #2 seed ... only one thing better than that ... top seed. That being said, Turco has a brutal record vs. DET in his career (2-10-5), but there seems to be "something" about this team.

There's no reason Biron can't steal this series

I had Rangers/Sharks in Final.
Like Dallas to beat Wings, and Pittsburgh to prevail over Philly.
Shaping up to be a great Stanley Cup Final.

Fleury is playing better than Biron, and is a better goaltender than Biron. The Penguin's have more scorers than Montreal. The Flyer's won't have the benefit of Carey Price giving the series away. I don't see how Biron could steal this series.

I am concerned about Philly's defense, but I think they could win this one and at worst, this one should go 7.
Dallas will have to win 1 of the first 2 in Detroit to take the series. I'm not so sure there, but there is something about this Stars team and Morrow that is hard to overlook.

I definately like Dallas. Better goaltending, more mobile defence. They just HAVE to stay out of the box or Detroit's powerplay could eat them up as they have the more skilled forwards. If they can stay out of the sin bin.....i think they upset.

Im from Pittsburgh and Im worried about Philly. I think they can compete with the Pens. They can match the Pens physically and if their goalkeeper can keep playing well, they could steal the series. I think the Pens win in 7 games though.

The Pens are playing such good hockey right now, they’d be so tough to beat. So is Philly, but talent wise they’re not really in the same league, so if the Pens continue to play their best as they have and Fleury holds up, I can’t see the Flyers pulling it off.
As for Dallas, I think they have a shot if they play their game, try to bruise up the Wings and beat them to loose pucks all series, something I think has a slight chance of happening. That being said, the Wings are by far the more talented team so once again there’s little room for error.
I’m probably going to be playing a small amount on both favs for the series.
