NHL playoffs Best Bets - Sunday 5/4/2008
I will do a daily recap of each days action. 10 units is the max/game.
Sorry but i will not count parlays, only straight up selections.
unit size will be the risk amount
if you risk 2u on +150; gain 3u if win, down 2u if loose.
if you risk 2u on -130; gain 1.54u if win, down 2u if loose.
good luck!
please let me know for any corrections and give me a line for the game it will make calculations easier for me
i will compile everything tomorrow night

Penguins -170 3 units series over
Stars -140 3 units series over
if you dont know , there were no game 7s last year in round 2 .
there was one game 7 in the entire playoffs last year . was in round 1 ,
canucks beat the stars in 7 games .
to play against a 7th game overall in all sports when it is game 6
have conflicting results maybe (does not reach 7 that much as we always hope it does) . too lazy too give all the #s for every year for every sport .
so far in this years playoffs there have been 3 game 7s (all in the 1st round) .
in 3 series teams won in 6 games in the 1st round . stars would make the 4th team to win in 6 so far in these playoffs but the only one to do it in the 2nd round ( unless pitt has brain cramps .)
breakdown of # of games to decide winner looks like this in 08 :
4 - 0 sweep > two , 1 in each round (pens and wings .
4 - 1 > two , 1 in each round
4 - 2 > three , all in 1st round
4 - 3 > three , all in 1st round
just looking at last year again , there were 4 series won in 6 games , (4 - 2) .
two of those were in the 2nd round where we are now , other two were 4 - 1 in round 2 which would almost be indentical to this years round 2 if stars and pengunis win sunday .
all is not too relevant , who knows .
