Default Brian Gabrielle: Follow Flames -130 vs Ducks

Follow Flames -130 vs Ducks

Game Time: 1/19/2007 9:00:00 PM
By: Brian Gabrielle

The Calgary Flames are the play tonight on the moneyline when they host the Anaheim Ducks at the Saddledome.
This is a game that the Flames cannot lose.

Anaheim (30-11-8) is missing Chris Pronger, who broke his foot in a New Year's Eve game at Minnesota, and is a great defensive player for them and goal scorer. Calgary's (24-17-4) net minder, Miikka Kiprusoff, is much better than Anaheim's Ilya Bryzgalov.

The bottom line is 62% of NHL games are won at home and this is a clear win for the home team today. Calgary is 18-5 at home and Anaheim is 16-4 on the road (with Pronger). In the head-to-head meetings, Anaheim is 2-7 in their last nine skates in Calgary. History repeats tonight. Take the moneyline on Calgary.

Predicted score: Calgary-4 Anaheim-2

Play: Flames -130

ALER ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT

Be very aware that this is not that easy of a game!

Yes, the Ducks lost big yesterday, but it was because of Roloson key saves, and the oilers defensemen adjustments.

They did a very good job, getting after the Ducks this way, and the Ducks just looked slow.

So be very carefull, because there is no way the Ducks are going to come out slow in this game.

Don't be surprised if the Ducks play from behind and win this game, 3-2 or 4-3.

The Flames need this game badly, so they will come out hard.

Flames win in a low scoring game though, but score 2 goals early 3-2. maybe 4-2 empty net.
