You're not alone. I'm not too thrilled about his arrival either.

Ya, then he proceeded to make a bunch of peculiar moves. Trading McDonald for Weight, signing Bertuzzi. He mangled Anaheim's cap situation too.

Any Leaf fan should not want this to happen. He is so overrated it's not even funny. He destroyed my Whalers, practically sending them out of town. Was average at best in Vancouver. Granted he did win a cup with Anaheim but that was with inheriting a team ready to go over the top and completely mortgaged their future to do it. Within 2 years the Ducks will be the Ducks of the late 90's and it will have his fingerprints all over it simply because of his inability to work the salary cap properly......(hence Andy Mcdonald for Doug Weight). He will come to Toronto, a team that is not very good and will be the 2nd coming of J.P Riccardi.........7 years later and no better off than when he arrived.
