Going with the general rule of thumb, don't fade a streak. The Caps have won 5 straight. The Devils have lost 4 straight and 8 of their last 10. I think this is an excellent price for a red hot team that is really in a groove. The Caps have gotten excellent goal tending over this streak with just 7 goals allowed in their last 5 games. With the Devils scoring just 5 goals in their 4 game losing skid, that should match-up in our favor. Caps have been steady offensively with at least 3 goals in their last 5 with the PP unit striking for a goal in 3 of those 5. The PK unit could stand to improve as WAS has let in a PP goal in 3 of their last 4. Fortunately, NJ has scored on the man advantage just 5 times in their last 36 PP shifts. Caps scheduled to put Theodore back between the pipes. He's off a 3-1 win over these same Devils last night. Clemmensen gets the nod for NJ. The losing goalie last night and he's come up short in 3 of his 4 starts, allowing 14 goals. The ref says we should CAPITAL-ize on this one and Light The Lamp with a winner! She wouldn't lie to us because she's hot and hot is the truth. Make it rain.
