Dallas has been playing well overall and on the road, and that makes the Stars the best play tonight in Washington against the Capitals.

The Stars have been impressive this season on the road at 8-5 and allowing just two goals per game away from home.

With a 16-8 record overall, Dallas is led by Mike Modano's nine goals and 18 points. Goalies Marty Turco and Mike Smith have combined for about a 92% save mark, allowing just 49 goals total 620 shots. Washington, with a 9-9-6 record on the season and a 4-5-2 mark at home, has Alexander Ovechkin at the top of the stat charts with 16 goals and 27 points.

The Stars have dominated the Capitals of late, winning seven of the last eight meetings. Washington has struggled lately, losing six of their last seven and are 4-15 vs the Pacific division over their last 19 games. The Stars are by far the more complete of the two teams and should have no trouble taking this one.

Play: Dallas -1½
