    5.13.12: [Game 1] Coyotes G Mike Smith Total Saves Over 30 [-115]
Phoenix continues to give up shots by the boatload. Only twice in eleven postseason games have they allowed under 30 shots on goal. The Kings averaged 30 shots per game in the regular season and should put more shots on net this series after facing the stingier Blues last round.

Beautiful start to the round. Kopitar notches a point with a goal and the Kings pummel Smith with 47 shots making the 30 saves an easy winner. That number probably jumps at least a couple saves next game although that probably keeps me off it even if LA could put up 50 shots.

    Record: 77-54-1 [+17.73]

    Playoffs: 20-12 [+7.40]

5.15.12: Kings W Dustin Brown Total Shots On Goal Over 3.5 [-110]
Brown chunked seven shots on goal in Game 1 among the Kings 48 shot barrage with a goal and an assist to show for his efforts. During the postseason, Brown has been able to get shots off against porous defenses. Against the Canucks in Round 1, he had at least three shots on goal in each game of that five game series with five or more in three of those. His ice time has been pretty steady with 18-20 minutes most games. The Kings will probably rack up a ton more shots tonight, but I wasn't quite as confident in the Smith saves prop tonight figuring they may tighten up enough to make the 31 on that prop a close call.

Looks like I over thought this one. Coyotes can't stop giving up shots ... well except to Dustin Brown who has zero at this point.

5.17.12: Coyotes G Mike Smith Total Saves Over 30 [-115]
Maybe I'm a sucker, but they dropped this back to 30 even after LA put up another 40 shots in Game 2? Sign me up. 87 shots on goal in two games and Smith has now had to make at least 30 saves in 11 of Phoenix's 13 postseason games. Until they fix that trend, no point going against it.

  6. #601

Well they finally fell short on shots, but it got very close with a massive 3rd quarter. Kopitar may still at least push my series bet on him for total points even though LA looks likely to sweep. Four points in three games already. Need a 5th to push.

Smith saves prop cashes again. Kopitar with a goal to at least push the Series bet with five points now. Hoping he can either snag one more or the Coyotes win and we get a Game 6 - which would be even cooler.

5.30.12: Kings G Jonathan Quick Total Saves Over 26 [-115]
It's about dead even for the season stats on shots on goal for NJ at home vs. the number that LA gives up on the road. Both are right around 28. The Devils though have been producing more shots at home in the playoffs. In the Eastern Conference Finals, they put up 26 or more in all three home games - topping 30 twice. Quick has only allowed three goals twice in 14 playoff starts with 26 or more saves in five of the eight road games played. In his lone start against NJ this season, he made 36 saves in an OT loss back in October.

I always like to wait a few games in to get a little handle on teams offense/defense/goal tending. Gonna go ahead and get going now for this year. Again for anyone who hasn't touched my thread before, this is an OVERs thread. That's all you're gonna find here!

    1.27.13: LIGHTNING-FLYERS OVER 5.5 [-125]

Tampa has been absolutely torching the opposition with four goals or better in three of four this season with three goals minimum. Their defense/goal tending has been shaky with 12 goals allowed in four games, three or more in three of four. The Flyers had been challenged for goals this season, but busted out for seven against Florida last night. Both PK units have had their issues, so power plays should be especially helpful to adding to the tally today. Lindback is starting for TB, allowing eleven goals in three starts. Bryzgalov likely for Philly. After allowing nine goals in his first three starts, he's been solid with just two allowed in his last two starts. Those came against the worst scoring club in Florida and a Rangers squad that hasn't scored well on the road early this season.

Ward starting for Carolina. He's been beat for at least three goals in all three of his starts. Carolina's last game was their first allowing under three goals and Ellis started that one. Boston has scored at least three goals in three of four games this season.

Nabokov starts for NY. Fleury for PIT. Nabokov has given up 14 goals in his four starts this season. Fleury has given up seven in three starts, with five coming in one start. NY has played three straight on the road to at least six goals. PIT has played three of its five games overall to at least six goals. The Isles rank 5th in the league with a 3.6 GPG average.

Decided to try it as you asked.

    1.29.13 SHARKS TEAM TOTAL OVER 3 [-110]
San Jose's red hot offense gets to tee off on Jonas Hiller who has given up at least three goals in each of his three starts this season. Sharks have at least four in every game and their PP unit could scorch the Ducks if given enough opportunities. Amazing two PP goals or better in all five games for San Jose.

Sharks all bottled up tonight. Barely any shots and only one PP. Not looking good down 2-1 after 2.

    1.31.13: JETS TEAM TOTAL OVER 2.5 [-130]
Theodore in net for Florida. He has given up at least three goals in three of his last five starts with the opposition netting at least three goals in four of five thanks to an empty netter in one of those games. Winnipeg has found its groove offensively after a slow start with 16 goals in their last four games - all hitting for at least three goals. The Florida PK unit has given up at least one PP goals in five straight and Florida has given up at least three goals in each of those five games overall.

    2.1.13: LIGHTNING-JETS OVER 6 [-110]
Seems a solid try even at the high number. The Jets have played five straight to at least six goals and the last three have all hit for seven or better. Winnipeg has scored three or more goals in all five of those games with four or better in three games. Tampa continues to scorch opposing defenses with 29 goals in six games. Lindback starts for TB. Pavelec possible for WIN. He has given up nine goals in his last two starts.

Columbus has given up three goals or better in six of eight so far this season. Detroit has scored four or more in three of their last four and four of the last six. They banged home three against the Jackets in the 1st meeting this season, winning in a shootout.
