Perfectly terrible. How can you be 0-0 with Brent Johnson in net? Oh well, PRE-SULK!

Crawford vs. Dubnyk. #1, all three meetings this season have been chock full of goals with at least seven scored in all three meetings. Crawford comes in with at least two goals allowed in 12 straight starts. He has allowed six goals in two appearances against Edmonton this season. Dubnyk has been fairly stout of late with just five goals allowed in his last three starts. He gave up three goals in his lone start vs. Chicago this season. Chicago's PK unit has been poor lately and the Oilers PP unit has hit them for seven PP goals in the three prior meetings.

    2.7.12: PANTHERS-CAPITALS OVER 5.5 [+120]
Clemmensen v. Vokoun likely here. Clemmensen just got walloped for five goals by Tampa and has given up at least two in seven of his last nine starts. Two starts vs. Washington this season both ended with OVERs, Clemmensen giving up six goals total. Vokoun has now given up at least three goals in five of his last six starts. Panthers remain a good road OVER with 15 of 24 hitting that way. Seven of their last nine road games have been OVERs. Caps are 50-50 at home with OVERs/UNDERs in 24 games. PPs for these two have been anemic, so not expecting much of a lift there although both PK units rank in the bottom third of the league.

    2.8.12: OILERS-RED WINGS OVER 5.5 [-120]
Plug-n-play here. Khabibulin v. MacDonald. 39 goals involved in the last three Oilers games. Khabibulin has given up at least three goals in seven of his last ten starts. Wings remain one of the best home scorers at just under four goals per game. Oilers have scored at least two in nine of ten.

    2.9.12: FLAMES-COYOTES OVER 5 [-135]
Irving v. Smith. Irving has been terrible in limited starts. He has surrended ten goals in his last two starts. He's going against a Phoenix club in a good goal scoring groove with three goals or more in five of their last six overall. Smith has been mostly solid, but has allowed at least two goals in seven of his last ten starts. 19 of his 22 starts at home have featured a minimum of five goals. Calgary PP could find some room to feast here.

    2.11.12: OILERS-SENATORS OVER 5.5 [-110]
Khabibulin v. Anderson. The Bulin Wall has been scaled easily in his last two starts, allowing four goals in each. He has allowed at least three goals in seven of his last nine starts. Oilers offense has been solid lately with at least two goals in nine of their last ten and 21 goals in their last five. Anderson has allowed at least two goals in nine of his last ten starts. Ottawa's offense had been stuck in neutral, but comes in off a four goal performance. Both PP units should have chances for success once they got on the job. Edmonton has cashed OVERs in four straight.

Finally some goals. 2-2 through two. 63 shots on goal. I would hope they can find two more in the 3rd if they keep up this sort of shot pace.

    2.12.12: FLYERS-RED WINGS OVER 5.5 [-120]
Bobrovsky v. MacDonald. I know Joe Mac has been pretty solid in his starts, but Bob has been blitzed in his last three for 14 goals. Wings would do well to pick on a leaky Philly PK right now as well. Flyers for their part have still been scoring with at least two goals in eight of their last ten. We know Detroit is still one of the best offensive home teams in the league with a 3.82 goals per home game average. So if they can pick on Bob and the Flyers' D, then hopefully Philly can bang home a couple to aid the cause.

    2.14.12: BLACKHAWKS-PREDATORS OVER 5.5 [+105]
Emery v. Rinne. Emery has given up at least three goals in four straight appearances, three of them starts. Chicago's defense has been awful lately with at least three goals allowed in eight straight and their road GAA is a lofty 3.44. Rinne has been troubled lately as well with three goals or more allowed in four of his last five starts. Rinne has allowed eight goals in three starts vs. Chicago this season. The Nashville offense has been consistent with at least three goals in nine of ten. Both PPs could loom large tonight, especially Nashville's against the 3rd worst PK unit. The Preds have been leaky as well on the PK, but Chicago's PP has been anemic.

    2.15.12: MAPLE LEAFS-OILERS OVER 5.5 [-120]
Reimer v. Khabibulin. The Bulin Wall has been breached for at least three goals in four of his last five starts and nine of 12 overall. Reimer isn't confirmed, but if he does start - he has been beat up for eleven goals in his last three starts. Toronto has been clubbed for 14 goals overall in their last three, while Edmonton is hot - scoring 22 goals in their last five. Five straight OVERs for the Oilers.

    2.16.12: SHARKS-LIGHTNING OVER 5.5 [-110]
Niemi v. Roloson. Niemi has given up at least three goals in six of his last ten starts. Four of his last five starts have gone OVERs. Roloson continues to give up goals by the boatload, yielding three or more in 12 of his last 13 appearances. At home, OVERs have hit in 18 of 26 for TB. The main issue for the Lightning has been offense lately, but they could find some help today as the Sharks have given up three or more in five straight & TB remains mostly solid production wise at home [3.3 goals per game]. SJ PP unit remains potent and should find success tonight if given the opps.

Not worth it IMO, but it's certainly possible. If it's gonna happen, the 1st period is probably it.

    2.17.12: PREDATORS-RED WINGS OVER 5.5 [+105]
Rinne v. MacDonald. Rinne not confirmed, but if he's in, then I like this one. He's given up eleven goals to DET in three starts. He's also scuffled some lately with three or more goals allowed in four of his last six starts. Joey Mac has been solid with two goals or less allowed in all six starts. He hasn't had a shutout yet which is good for these purposes. DET remains one of the best home scoring units with three goals or more in 22 of 27 at home. Their PP units have been hot lately and should have a shot to add to the tally tonight. Nashville has allowed at least four goals in five of their last seven, but have also scored at least three in nine of their last ten.

Schneider v. Khabibulin. Khabibulin has been leaky lately with three goals or more allowed in five of his last six starts. Overall, Edmonton has allowed at least three goals in seven straight. Schneider has been solid, but has allowed at least two scores in six straight starts. Five of those six have hit OVERs. Vancouver comes in off one of their best offensive shows in weeks with six goals against Toronto. They are usually pretty solid scoring with three goals or more in eight of their last ten. Anything these two get on the PP would be gravy since neither has been in a groove of late and both PK units have been pretty solid.

    2.21.12: RANGERS-PENGUINS OVER 5 [-118]
Lundqvist v. Fleury. Fleury has been pretty average in his last ten, giving up at least three goals in six of those appearances. He has given up at least two goals in eight of his last nine starts with three or more in five of those. Lundqvist has been solid with three shutouts in his last ten, but has allowed at least two goals in four of his last six starts. He's allowed seven goals in three starts vs. PIT this season. Fleury has allowed eight in three starts vs. NYR. Rangers have scored at least three in six of their last eight, while the Pens have allowed 27 goals in their last seven overall. Five of their last six at home have gone OVERs. Don't expect much on the PP tonight, these are two of the top five killing units in the NHL - any PP goals would be icing on the cake.

Didn't take it because Calgary had such a strong unders vibe at home and Kiprusoff had shut them down twice this season. I think the scoreline was a shocker. If there was going to be a 6-1 final, I think almost anyone would have banked on it being in Calgary's favor not Edmonton. Thems the breaks though.
