I will be doing a playoff prediction contest just as I did last year for all of you who were around for that.

ENTRY IS 20 SBR POINTS

You will be given 3 points for picking the correct team in each series and a bonus 1 point for predicting the correct number of games the series will go (you only get this bonus point if you have the correct team as well). Also a bonus 2 points for predicting the Eastern and Western Conference champion and 5 points for predicting the cup champ. These bets must be in before the start of the 1st game. The playoffs start Wednesday so you have until puckdrop of the first game to enter.

Ex. MTL vs WAS
Prediction: WAS 4-0

Result: WAS 4 MTL 1
Points Awarded: 3

Ex. LA vs VAN
Prediction: VAN in 6

Result: VAN 4 LA 2
Points Awarded: 4

I am thinking we should do this for a bit of points as well to make it fun. The payouts will be determined by how many entries there are. So for example if there are 10 entries, top 3 would pay.

This adds a little extra fun to playoff time. If you want in just ship me 20 points and I'll hold onto them until the cup winner is awarded.

Good question. Just post your first round predictions for now, then once the 2nd round is determined do the same thing all over again The only things that are locked in for the duration of the playoffs are your predictions for the Eastern and Western conference winners and your stanley cup champ pick.

If you are correct, then I would like it for the Devils to get thrown out earlier. I dealt with that crap in 2001 and, as a fan, losing in the title game/round is the WORST.CRAP.EVER.

Jacking the points? I doubt it, any blow joe should know your legit and that you have earned these points. I wouldnt even be upset if you took them as you fully deserve it for doing all this volunteer work on this thread and improving SBR's brand of name in the Ice Hockey Forum. I think we should be all donating to you on a regular basis for all the hours you spend updating records.

Will be posting my plays tommorrow as I want to get a better read with injuries and form before going head on. Information is knowledge and ill need that extra details to get an edge vs all these pro cappers in this competition.
