ANA (-135) vs LA $135 to win $100
Ducks are playing better as of late and are 6-1 vs the Kings in the last 7 at home and have been on a roll going 4-1-1 in their last 6. The Kings have cooled off going 5-5 so I like the Ducks to get it done as home favorites.

I do a bunch of research from some sports betting sites that have lots of data of previous matchups etc. I am a huge NHL fan and know every team inside and out pretty much, lots of this comes from all the fantasy hockey pools I enter (and win mostly ). I have tried some NFL and NBA and had small successes but I really don't follow the games much so I find I don't really know enough to make my own picks and usually just end up tailing those who do. I prefer to cap all the games myself and make my own decisions, free of outside influence, and thus that is why I just do NHL. Bottom line is I love to do the research and do my homework, to me that's half the fun of it

    VAN vs NJ Under 1.5 (1st) (-120) $240 to win $200
Brodeur vs Luongo. The battle for Team Canada starting goaltender. I look for both goalies to be on their game and competing hard tonight. The Devils are the top defensive team in the league in goals against and Vancouver is a respectable 10th best. Vancouver is averaging 2.07 goals for on the road, while the Devils 2.18 against at home. With the total being 5 I think the 1st period bet is the best edge play in this one.

Scouting out the rest of the games more plays possibly to come.

    BOS -1.5 (+160) vs TB $85 to win $136
Boston has owned Tampa over the last few years to a tune of 7-3 in the last 10 and 15-2-4 at home vs the Bolts. 3 of the last 4 victories at home for Boston have been by 2 goals or more vs TB. Boston has been heating up with the return of Marc Savard as they are 5-1 in their last 6. Too much juice for me to bet the Bruins straight up tonight so I will play the PL.

Gonna tail that Nucks 1st period under but will cheer for you in this one.

5 of the Bruins L6 games have gone to overtime and L7of 9 also needed extra time. They are winning but not by 2.

I parlayed Boston PL and the 1st period under for a small amount, I think it's worth a shot. Getting pretty good odds on a 2 gamer.

Wow what a bizarre game in New Jersey. The over is a push after 1 period LOL. All signs pointed to the under then they score 5 goals in the first. I have no explaination for this one

5 goals in the first and 0 in the second, makes sense . 3-2 final coming somehow for the push. I also made my first NBA play of the year on tilt after the VAN/NJ loss. Mavs -4 first half for $220, easy $200 heeb . So I'm basically back to even on the night (not in NHL though) with BOS looking pretty good to win some money.

    DET -1.5 (+160) vs EDM $100 to win $160
The injuries keep piling up for the Oilers and they are starting to look more and more like an AHL team every day. Their record is indicative of this having gone 2-8 in their last 10 games. Detroit has won two straight and seems to be playing better. The Wings have won 6 of the last 10 meetings and 3 of their last 5 vs the Oilers at home. Not overwhelming stats by any margin but all 3 of those home wins have been by 2 goals or more. Way too much juice to lay straight up on the Wings so I like the value in the PL of this one.

CBJ (-160) vs TOR $160 to win $100
The Leafs have enjoyed a nice little run 4-1-1 record in their last 6 and 3 straight road victories. However all good things must come to an end. With Gustvsson out the Leafs have to rely on Joey Mcdonald tonight. He's not a bad goalie but he likely will not steal the Leafs this game tonight. Steve Mason finally seems to be improving and getting back to his form from last year. CBJ is a whole different team at home and don't see them having a problem with the Leafs tonight.

More plays to come in the later games possibly. Let's win some cash
