Chicago Blackhawks vs. Colorado Avalanche
Two good teams face off tonight. Chicago has played well but seems to be struggling as of late, Eager, Hossa, and Toews are still out for them. While Colorado is playing amazing hockey and seems to show no signs of relenting. Colorado is 9-3 in its last 12 games. They have been money at home, going 5-0 this season. Also, Colorado is 17-6-2 in its last 25 games when playing at home against Chicago. The Blackhawks can't seem to get it together on the road thus far this season, they are 2-6 when playing outside of Chicago. The Av's outmatch the Hawks in every category except shots per game and shots allowed per game. Colorado wins the goalie battle easily, Huet is 5-3 with a GAA of 2.29 and a SV% of .898. I don't even need to give stats for Anderson, he's been superb for Colorado in all but one of their games. The Blackhawks are 18th in the league in scoring and the Av's are 2nd in the NHL in defense. Chicago is 25th in the league in road scoring, while the Av's are ranked 1st in home defense. Take Colorado tonight.
