I liked this game upon first glance assuming Kipper and Turco would be starting. With all signs pointing to McElhinney going for the Flames I like this one even more now. The teams are a combined 19-7 for the over this year. The line is moving to 6 in a lot of books which is usually I good sign I find.


NJ (-130) Over WAS $130 to win $100
The Caps begin the Alex-Ovechkinless era and I think they are going to have their hands full tonight in Jersey. Jersey is 1-4 at home this year, don't let the record fool you as they are too good of a team to have that kind of a home record for too long. The Devils hold a 9-3 mark vs the Caps in the last 12 at the Prudential Center.

Great call on NJD over WAS: 1-0 tonight. Unfortunately the over doesn't look good!

Washington looked out of sync tonight without Ovechkin. They didn't generate many scoring chance and Semin took 3 dumb penalties. Good call on that one.

Thanks. That CAL/DAL game totally should have gone over. Tons of powerplays, posts, even a penalty shot. It was a combination of good goaltending and no finish by the players tonight

Yup he is their leader and creates a ton of space for Semin and Backstrom. Without him they have a huge target on their backs.
