    They should be fine, if anything Kovalchuk being out might lead to some generous lines for ATL backers.

    Default Kovalchuk out 2-4 weeks - fade the Thrashers?

    Let's not fool anyone, Thrashers have been getting solid goaltending but Kovalchuk is their shining star. I'm not convinced that they can win without him. What y'all think?

    The team still has a lot of solid components. Would consider it risky to write them off.

    Kozlov, Little, and White will need to pick it, I think Kane, Bogosian and Peverley will step it up, especially Kane. I see big things from him. This guy had a pretty good write up regarding Kovalchuk being out. http://hockeyindependent.com/blog/?p=4210
