    Default Toronto is horrible

Geez, so far I been fading Toronto and what a run so far. Sooner or later these lines are going to be real juicy to take them as big dogs. But I don't see it happening within the next 7-10 games or so. Keep doing what you are doing Toronto.

Thay have lost 5 straight on the +1.5PL. Only one team lost 6 straight on a +1.5PL last season and the was Colorado near the end of the season.

Toronto should have won, but when you take that many penalties and are facing a top tier goalie, you're going to have problems.

Yes sir, I had Canucks Reg and I felt lucky that I was spotted 2 goals in the first period. But as any of us who play sports, when things go bad it seems nothing can right the ship. For me, I will continue to go against them until they show me that they believe. But its true that they are now fighting a little harder but can't seem to get the breaks to get the W.

Leafs dominated? Hell no. Leafs were competitive? Yes.

I could be wrong but the leafs have outshot their opponents more often than not. Last night the only goals scored against them were on the PP. I think they win their next game.

Back at it for NHL Monday
    Ana -.5 and PL

If there is a game Toronto can win, I think this would be their best chance tonight, but have to fade till they show me they righted the ship with at least 1 win.

Yeah, as a Leafs fan and Toronto native it's pretty sad to watch. It would be a whole different world had Burke not traded away the Leaf's two first-round picks. Had he not, I'd probably be crying tears of joy right now. Toronto did some things right and they did really dominate Van in terms of possession and pressure; however, their weaknesses were on display. Even with solid goaltending this is a team of 3rd-liners (at best) and there is really no one on the roster who can score. Individually, many of these players are good enough to be 2nd liners, but they need a supporting cast to score. Kessel will probably fail miserably. But next year they have 20+ mil coming off the books so this team will see MAJOR changes. For ****'s sake, our top-line center is MATT STAJAN ...facepalm...

I can't see how Kessel will do well on this team. He isn't a playmaker or superstar. The trade that Burke made would have been better if they got Savard back, at least it would have made sense.

60% of Kessel's offense involved Savard last year. Something tells me it isn't going to be quite the same with Stajan or Grabovski.

    My thoughts exactly keyboarding.

This was an experiment gone woefully wrong. Everyone expected this year to be bad, but Burke shot himself in the foot by signing Kessel, giving away the future, and making claims that Leafs would compete for a playoff spot. Still, no one expected them to be this bad, but now that they are, it makes a lot of sense. Kessel will do nothing.

Thankfully, this team will have a lot of dough coming off the books next year and if the Monster can become a top-tier goaltender then perhaps next year they'll be competitive.

Is today the day. I had a feeling this would be their best chance of a win as Anaheim is not all there yet. Lets see if they can hold on for the last period.

4 straight games with at least a point the Leafs are on a tear in their books (1-0-3). Too bad this doesn't help out anyone betting on them.
