    Default Atlanta Thrashers: 2 games in 7 nights?

    Can anyone shed some light on this: the Thrashers are only playing 2 games in 7 nights.

    Sat. Oct 10 @ OTT
    Fri. Oct 16 @ NJ

    I've never seen such a huge gap in regular season play. Anyone have a good explanation?

    That's nothing. Toronto only has one game on a Sunday next week.

    Attendance issues? Thrashers seem like a struggling organization (more of a gut feel than actual proof of this), as opposed to say the Coyotes who are in the desert but have built a following.

    With the Falcons playing well, and SEC football in full swing, the Thrashers are an afterthought. Maybe if they are in contention in April......

    Neither explain why Toronto plays 1 game next week. The answer is the NHL is run by morons.
