CrazyLou,
Max. 30 plays simply means this contest ends prematurely for many of us well before the end of 1st week. If there is few objection and many supports, should you consider to revise slightly to 50 plays max.?

Completely agree. I don't like waiting until the next contest. The limit is clearly too low, and since we're grading it ourselves (except shanty, who can't figure out 1+1 even with a calculator and two days at his disposal), it doesn't really add to Lou's workload. I think 50 or 75 is a more realistic limit.

I was in favor of this at the beginning, when Lou could've realized he screwed up on contest rules again and made a substantive change before anyone's strategy had been altered. I've now gone several days only playing a meager portion of my real plays in this contest, and to up the limit now would leave me grasping for plays to keep up with those who have found an early lead.
Perhaps we could just get somebody other than Lou to run SBR's next tennis contest? I'm still a little upset over the fact that he posted lines the other night without the price on Vesnina and then was unavailable to fix the mistake until after the match had started. We also went 5 days before he could even find the time to collate the records and give up updated standings.
Also, since we're being asked to keep all our own records, why are we burdened with a max play limit and fixed staking? If I'm gonna keep my own record, then I'd like to be able to enter my entire card and designate the plays where I have the most edge as 2-4 units risked plays as opposed to being limited to this one unit either way which largely takes the element of handicapping out of the contest.
I have no problem with keeping my own score for a contest, but if I'm going to do that, all I ask is that my plays be as unfettered as possible and that the contest manager simply take the time to keep updated standings. Is this too much to ask?

If there wasn't such a low limit, I would've made far more plays today and yesterday.

Looks like I missed the deadline on these plays so no action. Keep thinking times above are central time. Got to look at this stuff the night before.

Thanks for the feedback, the play cap should have been set higher and it would've been more useful had I surveyed the tennis sub-forum prior to launching the sign-up thread. I will make sure to take all this feedback that has been shared into account when making the rules for the US Open major. Another change will be that matches will be official after one set, since nothing was in writing about that this time. I apologize for the things that could've been done better, and wish you all luck in finishing up your plays. We'll have daily standings from here on out.

Thanks for the contest. Obviously it was a trial run to see how this would go. I am sure you will make improvements for the US Open and more people will be satisfied. Good luck with the rest of your plays in the tournament.

ahhhh shit I may have to recalculate my record.
Razzano got a free pass? I had read she won...does that count or is it a no play? I dont think it was a retirement...
France's Virginie Razzano was given a free passage through to the fourth round at Wimbledon when seventh seed Vera Zvonareva pulled out with an ankle injury.
Razzano, seeded 26th, will face either former Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli or Francesca Schiavone in the fourth round.
Lou please make a ruling and I will adjust my record prior to tomorrows plays. If its not a win every1 else who had her will follow suit.
Thanks.

Hello,
Matches must be complete for action. She cannot be scored a win if the match never took place.
