Rules

• One entry per household. No exceptions.
• MLB, NBA, and NHL: moneylines, sides, and totals. There will be a -300/+300 cap on each wager. Dogs that are priced higher than +300 will be offered at +300. Favorites priced higher than -300 will not be on the board.
• Picks are 'to win' one unit on favorites, 'risk one' on dogs.
• Contestants must use the plays listed in the Daily Lines thread. Lines for MLB, NBA, and NHL will be posted overnight and the day of game day up to 7PM EST.
• Once you make a pick in your head-to-head match up thread, it is official and cannot be canceled under any circumstance, no exceptions will be made.
• You may pick the opposite selection to your opponent (to fade them), but you may not pick the exact same side or total*. You may also not pick both sides to the same game to minimize losses to juice. *This includes RL and ML, you CAN NOT bet an RL or ML if your opponent is already on that side.
• Any past posted plays will NOT be counted. If the scheduled start time per the Daily Lines thread is 7:30, any plays at 7:31 will be disregarded. Plays at 7:30 will stand. All times listed in the Daily Lines thread are EST.
• The Handicapping Contests subforum automatically prevents any user from 'editing' posts, but in the event of a rare software glitch, any picks posts that are edited will incur a 1.50 unit penalty and count as a loss on their record.
• In the event of a cancellation due to act of God, weather, or other forfeiture, your play will be graded as a push. This push will count towards your minimum requirement but not your maximum. In other words, you will have the option of making another play, but you will not be penalized. Please note that this stipulation only applies to pushes based on event cancellation; ordinary pushes on sides and totals WILL count towards your maximum allowed.

Round Structure

• All rounds will run from Tuesday to Sunday.
• All rounds will have a minimum 8 picks, maximum 12.
• If you make less than the minimum amount of 8, one unit will be subtracted from your record for each missing pick. If you make over the max of 12, excess plays will be no actioned without a unit penalty.

Archie....I almost fukked up 1st round too by picking in final day, but by picking KC and Greinke, it's keeping him from not picking it, also w/ a win it boosts me up some more.

I know what I'm doing today and if needed have a few more plays I can use.

Unless I lose everything and he wins, I won't be losing today.

Honestly, I don't know why Sam made another play. Can only hurt him. Should have sat back and seen if I could pass him, which would have been tough for me to do. Really a no-brainer for me to go with the ChiSox under these circumstances.

And I wouldn't have played KC if he didn't.

ChiSox up 3 in the 9th. Won't matter. Stupid me for adding those other plays. Needed to reach the 8 play minimum, and with so few games on the board tonight, couldn't wait for the result of the ChiSox/KC game to see where we stood in terms of the standings. Almost needed to assume a loss in that game and take the approach that I could still win by hitting 4 or 5 other plays.

i still like the play. it forced you into making a play you didn't want and if I win, is a 2 unit swing in my favor. I understand if it losses, its a 3 unit swing for you...but I will take Greinke at home w/ this scenario everytime.

No. It was silly regardless. KC closed -175 at Pinny. Assuming an efficient line, that's a win probability of a little less than 64%.

Instead of forcing me to hit what would have amounted to a 3-team parlay (I would have just played the 3 biggest faves on the ML), you allowed me a 36%+ chance of taking the lead had I not added those other plays.
