    How do you calculate this?

    If I have Team A to win by exactly 1 +650
    Team B to win by exactly 1 +250

    what odds am I getting if I bet on both sides?

    Let x be the amount you risk on Team A (to win by exactly 1)
    Let y be the amount you risk on Team B (to win by exactly 1)

    If Team A bet hits, you make 6.50x - y
    If Team B bet hits, you make 2.50y - x

    You want it so that your win amount is the same if one of your two bets hits. This means you require

    6.50x - y = 2.50y - x

    This means x = (3.5/7.5)y

    To convert this into odds, find out how much you have to risk to win $100. This means

    6.50x - y = 100 = 2.50y - x

    Using x = (3.5/7.5)y, you can solve the above equations to find:

    x=22.95
    y=49.18

    This means you have to risk $(22.95+49.18) to win $100. This works out to be about +138/+139.
