Need help with bankroll management
I am looking for some assistance. Let's say I have a bankroll of $500 to use for the next four weeks of NFL games. I will bet five games per week. This week I will be straight betting the following games:
Dallas Cowboys -10.5 Even
Giants +3 -112
Vikings -8.5 Even
Browns -3 -117
Patriots -10.5 -101
First off, I don't even know what the "Even" and -112 etc. numbers mean.
What I am looking for is some assistance in calculating what percentage of my bankroll I should bet on this weeks games. I am just trying to get some kind of reference for making varying bet sizes instead of my "gut". Thanks.

"Even" put up 100 to win 100
and put up $112.00 to win 100 -112 etc.

Is this a money line bet then? Place $112 to win $100?

No
Not a money line bet, you take Giants +3 and have to lay $112 to win $100 or $12 to win $10.

So if I am making a wager with a local "friend", and I bet the Giants +3 for 100 and win, he pays me a net of $90 because of the 10% juice. How is this different than the $112 to $100 payoff? Thanks.

If you are betting it at -112 that means there is 12% juice.

Well, IMO if your just going to play 20 games in 4 weeks and then really quit playing. I would play 25 per play today, then if your up for next week just divide your bank roll by 15 and play what ever that comes out to per game, then do it again at 10 games left and again at 5 games left. If your not up after today then Id go back to 25 and start it over again, JMO.
Personally, I always just play 2.5% of my $ on any given day , then again Im here for the long term not just 4 weeks.
I know there are alot wiser people here than myself that can give you better advice than what I have given. Best of luck with it.

No.
If you're betting at -112 off a 20¢ line set (i.e., opposite a -108 line), there's 4.538% juice.
If you're betting at -112 off a 10¢ line set (i.e., opposite a +102 line), there's 2.282% juice.
See An introduction to betting lines and percentages and An introduction to expectations and theoretical hold.

I am in for the long haul, but I am just trying to get some kind of starting reference of bet sizes per day/week etc. My bankroll has had wild ups and downs for the last six weeks that I have been actively playing. I am up, but I am trying to play for the long haul. Your 2.5% is the kind of information I am looking for. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the feedback. The 2% and 3 unit info helps me. Thanks.
