Default What is the longest ATS losing streak during the past 10 years?

Any sport. So far found only a nine gamer, but I feel that there are members here who have a much better and more efficient database compared to mine. Meantime I'll keep looking.

How the hell do you know this? Have you been tracking it that long?

I noticed in your signature that you finally had a down year in MLB last season. I thought it was just me, but it was an odd year last year, was it not?

    JVP3132, mintybetmachine,

I used WinPicks software to look it up. If you go back further, the Phoenix Suns lost 16 in a row ATS way back in 1995.

I've lost 14 in a row ats. I also had nearly 400 losing parlays in a row (in a failed depth charge).

    Impressive Justin.

I once lost 64 horse races in a row, and I was just straight betting. Streaky game for sure.....

Funny thing about this streak, they were very close to the covering the spread a couple of times. Probably made line makers thinking they were pretty much on top of them since they were not blown out against the spread.

The Browns failed to cover in 9 straight from in 2008-early 2009, losing 8 and pushing 1. Kind of funny because after Cleveland snapped that losing streak this past season, they finished the season on an 7-0 winning run.

What's the point? It doesn't really help you as a capper to know this does it?

A better question - and I even doubt this one - is "what is the ATS record of teams on a current 7 games ATS losing streak? or 8 game streak? etc?

I've always been curious when looking at this day to day is what is typical result when a 4 games ATS losing streak team is up against a 4 games winning streak team? Even then, I'm not sure that this is just lazy handicapping at its best?

I tracked him for around a year and a half; he lost most of his picks. I had an e-mail exchange with him about the flaw in his flat-betting writings, where he stopped replying after my last elaborating e-mail. I don't think he's selling picks anymore.

Not ATS but William & Mary had gone under 10 times in a row before hitting the over tonight. I would like to know some streaks on O/U if anyone knows.

The Florida Marlins had 16 overs in a row about 4 years ago, it was crazy how people would just hammer the over every game after it hit like 11 in a row

Look at this roll of bets you would go through win your intial bet of $100. Using the Marlins 16 losses in a row.

    1- 110
    2- 220
    3- 440
    4- 880
    5- 1760
    6- 3520
    7- 7040
    8- 14,080
    9- 28,160
    10- 56,320
    11- 112,640
    12- 225,280
    13- 450,560
    14- 901,120
    15- 1,802,240
    16- 3,604,480
17- 7,208,960------------ When the team finally wins you profit a whopping $100

This is what keeps the book in business. People chasing until their accounts are yellow.

That's the point of this thread though right? When people start hammering/ or staying away from the team on the streak, isn't there value in going the other way. No because the team is "due" but because the streak and its followers create inflation???
