Official Scalping and Middling Thread
Each time you see a potential scalp or middle bet, post it here!
This will benefit everyone, as the book that has a weak line will get action and have equal money on both sides, while us players will win some sure and easy $. If you are going to follow I recommend subscribing to "instant email notification" and then work things out with your email so that you don't miss out!
For a start having accounts at most of the top books and especially the exchanges such as matchbook will be extremely beneficial.
Also don't forget that exchanges such as matchbook charge commission, so your potential play will become a money lock up or worse!

Chicago bears +113 +10 @ MB vs. Ravens -110 -10.5 at top books or -105 -11 @ Legends (you can still lose this bet if bears lose by exactly 10)

Some of the best scalp I seen, MB half time lines with pinny half time lines. Major line movements, with a -105 range at pinny makes it really easy. I don't get to do it because I live in the states, but I use pinny to check line value.
MB and pinny live games. I post lines with pinny live games odds sometimes. I notice that you sometimes gets major off range something like +400 and -330. Great value

Here is the problem that all of you are going to have. In order to be successful at middling, you have to be able to wager the "lead" line that comes out in Vegas every Sunday afternoon. You also have to be able to make wagers at a moments notice. You also must have a very good knowledge of how the public, in general, will react to various games. Did you notice what happened in the Montana-Nova game? Did you see how the wiseguys manipulated the line so they hit a middle, but Joe Pub loses? This takes a lot of knowlege, not to mention the ability to get a wager down at a moments notice. If you play offshore, or with a local, you rarely get this opportunity. My group has two middles in bowl games. We have TCU -4 to Boise +8, and Auburn -4.5 to Northwestern +7.5. The whole object of a middle is to try and middle key numbers, such as 3 and 7. You can also use middles to hedge wagers. It take talent and a lot of money, but you can really help your bottom line by middling. The one middle that everyone should have played was the Florida-LSU game, because that game was so manipulated that if you were sharp, you could have taken Florida -7 and LSU +11. That was the first obvious middle that I have even seen that was made so public. My syndicate increases out winnings by 30% or more playing middles.

I had the Philly over 41 (+105) and just scalped most of it on the under at Matchbook +130. The live market there still has it around +120 if you're looking. Might have been a good idea to hold on to it, but I had an uncomfortable amount on the over.

Here is something that you guys may be able to do. In Vegas, you can get 'Bama at-3.5 at the Hilton, and Texas +5 at Caesars Palace. Food for thought if you are in Vegas and want to middle 4. Speaking of Vegas, if this plane gets more delayed, I will never get there.

Buffalo moved alright. From a +7.5 opener to a +9.5 spread now available at the Hilton. You can get +9 all over Vegas. I guess that was not the movement you expected.

If it is arbs you are looking for:

Lots of non-US friendly sites of course but do with it what you will. Carrying out Arbs in the long run is not a good idea.

You can find some arb with the O/U between pinny and matchbook on the BYU live game.

If you have a mathematical advantage, why is this a bad strategy in the long run?

Because it is the fastest way to ensure that your betting limits are lowered.

Is there a way to do it so the sports books don't know what you're doing?
Could you bet at a casino and an online sportsbook to hide your strategy?
