Action Points

My buddy has a local that takes action points on football or basketball sides at even money per point with no cap. Are there any general rules or situations where the median and mean are not that close for certain spreads on either of these sports? For example, big road favorites, small home dogs, teams with particularly good offenses or defenses, etc?

I love betting ACTION POINTS...........I prefer LIVE DOGS in the 4-8 pt range, as I have found these to be the most successful for me betting ACTION POINTS.
